The Infrastructure team provides AWS and Amazon with the compute, network and datacenter capacity that are the foundations of the retail and cloud business.

The Portfolio and Asset Management (PAM) team is looking for a talented, experienced Cost Analyst based in our Mumbai corporate office. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining all colocation or real estate lease administration payment functions to support the existing and expanding data center portfolio throughout APJC. The role will manage the lease in the lease management platform, manage and approve all rent obligations, and be responsible for all financial abstraction and quality control.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively operate across various jurisdictions in APJC. They can work independently and possess a high level of competence in performing a range of portfolio management responsibilities in an extremely fast-paced environment with a high degree of ambiguity.

Key job responsibilities
• Ingestion and management of rent invoices for colocation and data center locations into the lease database tool (Tango)
• Review and interpretation of contract related documentation and abstraction of critical information including rent and other financial obligations, and quality control of abstractions
• Partner with key stakeholders to help ensure accurate and timely payments
• Weekly processing of rent roll and invoice payments
• Monthly review, auditing and processing of rent in line with internal Spend & Transaction Policies and contractual terms
• Support for all contract and payment inquiries/issues for internal and external customers

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, commerce, finance or relevant discipline from an accredited university
• At least 3+ years of experience in Financial management ( in line with Portfolio/Contract management/Account Payables), in an office, industrial, commercial, retail, and/or data center real estate environment
• Experience and competence utilizing commercial real estate software platforms
• Experience in processing rent charges and/or monthly rent rolls
• Experience managing internal stakeholder relationships and working successfully across organizations and different cultures to deliver results requiring collaboration and coordination with multiple teams
• Ability to work independently, deal with large volume and prioritize effectively in an international, complex, ambiguous and fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to leadership teams
 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated ability to establish processes, workflows, standard procedures and change management
• 5+ years of experience in handling Financial Management of Data Centre/ Commercial Real Estate
• Experience managing large projects
• Experience with large, global real estate portfolios
• Experience managing third party vendors
• Experience with Tango and/or Oracle and/or current accounting standards (GAAP)
