Job Summary

Responsible one shift Quality for Vehicle Assembly shop.

To ensure the line audit and sampling inspection done as per specified frequency, and resolve Quality issue along with Mfg.

 Will be responsible  for process , product audit and also  for PDI in the shift

Key Skills Required
  • Must have worked in high volume 2-wheeler plants in vehicle Quality.
  •  Must be capable of handling all concerns (Both domestic and International) about 10 years min. 
  • Thorough knowledge on Quality tools and techniques, 8D, QC Story, DOE, 5Why, FEMA, MSA
  • Knowledge on vehicle Quality issue both functional and appearance related
  • Preferred person worked at end of line inspection like static , Dynamometer and PDI.
  • Good communication skills.
Key Result Areas (Accountability & Responsibility of the role)

 

  • In Shift - Act as a Single Point of Contact for Assembly Quality
  • Execute Shift Quality Plan, which includes inspection frequency of line inspection, Patrol inspection, Quality Audits, Process & Product & PDI.
  • Ensure the Straight Pass Ratio (SPR) of the vehicles assemblies are meeting targets and do improvements to reduce rework percentage
  • Do root cause analysis on customer complaints, and identify the gaps in manufacturing process and implement the corrective actions with the relevant stake holder with minimal lead time
  • Participate in the PDCA review on Customer Complaints / SPR issues and drive the actions with CFT team along with Horizontal Deployment opportunities
  • Participate in the PFMEA, Control Plan review and ensure the potential failure modes are addressed intense with effective controls in the process and detection
  • Review the effectiveness of Patrol inspection / Final Inspection / PDI / Dock audit gates and implement the appropriate the actions to strengthen the detection processes
  • Prepare/Execute/review/update employee training plans
  • Develop Daily shift reports showing shift quality performance from inspection, audit and improvement opportunities
  • Ensure the products cleared for delivery are defects free
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering and production team for concern solving and developing new parts as per design requirement.
  • Drive to achieve Cp, Cpk requirement
  • Ensure 100% compliance to IATF 16949 QMS System on daily management activities

Expertise in communication protocol (CAN), hardware interfaces and subsystems Good understanding of EMI/EMC & other standards applicable to electronic circuit Good Knowledge of DFMEA and PFMEA for hardware & software of Inverter EV application Support the project planning, design, development testing, and release of Inverter products. Experience in in vehicle level and component level DVP preparation Experience with the use of specialized electronic lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supply, power analyzers and frequency generators.   Key Responsibilities Responsible to design, optimize, test & validate hardware & software at component, sub system & system level for high voltage EV application Inverter Lead the definition of controller products for motor drives applications in battery powered high voltage (>600V) systems Responsible for requirements management and product datasheet generation for the defined products and lead technical discussions with design and concept teams during product development Lead the in system test and validation of new developed products in actual target application/system and ensure requirements initially provided are fulfilled.   Key Skills Required Worked in product development and have seen several development cycles of software & hardware of Inverter for EV application Deep understanding in motor drives systems including gate drivers, high voltage power MOSFETs, DC-DC power supplies, battery systems.  Understand in detail motor technologies and effect in algorithms  Knowledge of motor control algorithms (i.e. FOC, VFD, DTC, etc.) and their implementation into embedded software including strategies for sensor less controls.   Software Tools C/C++ MATLAB LTspice  DFMEA PFMEA
