Learn more about us here Overview The Production Specialist supports through collaboration with all roles (and across teams) and the supply of Information Technology (IT) services to the Bank and executes against the vision of their function. As a Production Specialist, you’ll assist in troubleshooting and resolving events and complex issues with an awareness of overlapping and different technology areas. Based on service and business knowledge, you’ll identify where IT designs can be strengthened (and provide governance on all related IT platforms) and delivers technical expertise for support in outage co-ordination, provide technical guidance and recommendations to service IT problems. In addition, you’ll embrace a Continuous Service Improvement approach to drive efficiencies and remove repetition to stream-line support activities, the Production Specialist helps reduce risk and improve systems availability. Post-mortem investigations of major incidents Acting as an escalation point for user’s issues and requests, and reporting major incidents to senior management Engineering solutions to reduce manual activity and reduce risk, through automation (using Ansible, Control-M and other in-house orchestration tools) and coding (e.g., writing scripts, implementing enhancements to existing application code) Creation and monitoring of OLAs and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), creating and maintaining documentation Facilitating co-ordination across multiple technology and business teams during major change programs and major incidents How You’ll Lead Build and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders, developers, infrastructure partners and vendors Identify and specify continual improvements to the applications in conjunction with the development teams, ensure adequate, safe, and compliant IT facilities to store and operate the systems Perform and improving business continuity plans Skills You’ll Need Extensive experience in application support (preferably in the financial sector) Understanding of monitoring and scheduling tools, e.g., Geneos, New Relic, Control-M, Autosys Experience with Unix, Oracle, Java, as well as scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible) Exceptional written and oral communication skills with proven ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience and at senior levels Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Oracle Cloud) preferred but not necessary Skills That Will Help You Excel Degree in a quantitative subject (additional financial or technical qualifications advantageous) and ITIL foundation certificate (or equivalent) Coaching and support from experts in your team A culture of continuous learning to aid progression Experience working across regions and countries and time zones, across a broad range of cultures and technical abilities Detailed knowledge of multiple business flows and regulatory processes and reporting requirements Expectations It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.
