Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

Design and Develop LookML Models:

Create and maintain LookML models that define the data structure and business rules for analysis.

Build Looker Dashboards and Reports:

Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Looker's visualization capabilities.

Collaborate with Stakeholders:

Work closely with business users and other teams to understand their needs and translate them into effective data solutions.

Optimize Performance:

Implement best practices for LookML performance, including caching and data modeling techniques.

Manage Code Changes:

Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage LookML code and ensure efficient collaboration.

Validate Data:

Ensure data accuracy and consistency by validating data using Looker's SQL Runner.

Integrate with Other Tools:

Integrate Looker with other tools and platforms for comprehensive data visualization and analysis.

Provide Technical Expertise:

Offer technical guidance on Looker best practices, data modeling, and architecture.

Stay Updated:

Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in Looker, SQL, and related technologies.

Required Skills:

Strong SQL Skills: Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries is essential for working with LookML.
LookML Expertise: A solid understanding of LookML syntax, data modeling concepts, and best practices.
Data Modeling: Experience with data warehousing platforms like BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable insights.
ETL Experience: Familiarity with ETL tools and processes.
Version Control: Experience with version control systems like Git.
Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with stakeholders
