The Role:
Candidate will be part of the Exposure Development team based in India. He or she will be engaged in supporting the development of Exposure Models. He or she will be involved in primary research needed for development and implementation of said research. The candidate will be expected to gain knowledge of relevant technologies and analytics needed for development of RMS products.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting with research on data sets and analytics needed for Exposure development for various geographies around the world, leveraging public and/or open-source data where available;
  • Supporting research for development of valuation models for various types of buildings and infrastructure
  • Researching and understanding of the characteristics of property insurance markets around the world

 

 

Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor or currently enrolled in an accredited university in Civil or Computer Engineering, Urban Planning, Remote Sensing or Geoinformatics

 

Skill and Competencies

  • Hands-on IT skills, in particular knowledge of R, Python, or SQL
  • Knowledge of building construction practices across countries, with an interest in the social and cultural contexts that guide growth and development;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to investigate and solve problems
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Interest in Catastrophic Risk Modelling and Property Insurance Industry
