At EY GDS, Corporate Responsibility (CR) goes beyond the need to meet minimum requirements of doing social good. It is deeply rooted in our mission to build an inclusive society and sustainable environment for future generations. Corporate responsibility at EY encompasses a dual mission: firstly, we pursue social and environmental impact through our global EY Corporate Responsibility framework, EY Ripples, focusing on strategies and goals for positive change. Secondly, we are dedicated to adopting responsible business practices, evident in our operational sustainability goals aimed at reducing our carbon footprint.
The GDS Corporate Responsibility function, established in late 2019, aligns its strategy with the global EY Ripples framework, which provides our employees the opportunities to use their knowledge, skills, and experience to positively impact millions of lives across three focus areas: supporting the next generation, working with impact entrepreneurs, and accelerating environmental sustainability.
Furthermore, our global CR strategy emphasizes skills-based volunteering, allowing us to transform lives while enriching the work experience of our GDS volunteers. Through CR opportunities, our volunteers can fulfil both personal and organizational purposes, contributing to the collective goal of building a better working world. Through the EY Ripples program, our global network is dedicated to SDG-focused projects, aiming to positively impact one billion lives by 2030. We're committed to embedding responsibility, inclusiveness, and sustainability throughout our organization, including upholding human rights and pursuing a net zero future.
