Financial support to business areas through financial analysis, budgeting, planning & forecasting; to facilitate decision making and future business strategies.

As a member of Oracle's finance organization, you will be responsible for providing all aspects of financial support for planning and control. Assist in consolidation and reporting of financial results; preparation of annual budget. Gather, model, analyze, prepare, and summarize information for financial plans, operating forecasts, trended future specifications, etc.; on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. Prepares recommendations based on analyzes. May perform revenue and expense analysis, headcount and headcount driven expense analysis at cost center level, tracking of product and product line revenue, reconciliation of accounts receivable, variance analysis and ad-hoc analysis as needed. You may participate in cross functional programs and projects.

Responsibilities

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the Software Manufacturing and Distribution organization worldwide (mainly US, Ireland, Czech Republic, India, United Kingdom and Philippines)
  • Prepare budget and forecast for global line of business
  • Close monthly account records, including journal entries, reconciling, researching discrepancies through investigation, and ad-hoc reporting
  • Ensure the accuracy of all inventory accounting; perform ongoing audits of activity
  • Prepare financial reports for upper management to review; conduct cost-benefit analysis on potential changes to supply-chain
  • Conduct quantitative research to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Produce and analyze key indicators of department performance
  • Recommend and implement policy/process changes

Qualifications

  • Good communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated advanced skills in Excel - Pivot Tables, Macros, Vlookup a plus
  • Completion of basic Finance and Accounting courses desired
  • 0 to 2+ years’ experience
  • BA/BS degree in business
