Describe the function of the role and how it fits into your department?
The Business Data & Analytics Team works closely with Micron’s business functions in all aspects of data, and business intelligence building data assets and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. We are looking for individuals to be part of our agile development team. This role will work primarily with SQL Server, SSIS ETL tools and native SAP HANA development in an in-memory data warehouse environment along with reporting tools like Power-BI, Tableau etc. Team members will also be expected to explore DataOps to automate software solutions building automation, deployment, and telemetry capabilities.

Roles & responsibilities can include but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop, code, test, improve and debug SSIS packages/ SAP HANA models and data flows.
  • Participate in design, development, and deployment of Data Warehouse data models.
  • Collecting and interpreting data, analyze results, report results back to the relevant members of the business using appropriate data analytics tool.
  • Identifying patterns and trends in data sets, working alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needs and defining new data collection and analysis processes.
  • Collaborate with business partners and other IT teams to ensure high quality data solutions are delivered.
  • Solve operational issues and resolve business partner issues in a timely manner with collaboration and care for business priorities.
  • Document existing and new work performed.
  • Understand the impediments for development and develop automation solutions for the development team.
  • Work with the data engineers to build pipelines for deployment of ETL package, Database Objects etc.
  • Build and maintain and end-to-end build-deploy pipeline architecture.
  • Design, development, and deployment of automated database testing.

Education Requirement & eligibility:

  • Preferred degree is Master’s
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT field is required
  • Some experience or knowledge of databases and ETL tools.
  • Software Engineering background and experience a plus.
  • Some experience in Software engineering, programming languages, scripting.
  • A passion for data and information with strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with DevOps/DataOps concepts.
  • Experience in data models and reporting packages.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • CGPA requirements = 7.0 CGPA & Above

It would be an exciting place to enable validation teams with automation frameworks, with tweaks to drivers at user and kernel space on both Windows, Linux and other real-time operating systems. Innovations and open-source contributions are possible at various levels in the software stack. Starting from understanding the product requirements, to tools requirements from different functional teams, to developing effective and efficient solutions, it’s the right place to start, right out of college in a fast-paced environment with wide knowledge of SSDs, SSD firmware and validation capacities.
