As a Java Developer - Intern, you will be developing and delivering solutions that scale to meet the needs of some of the largest and most innovative organizations in the world. The role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in building scalable backend systems while collaborating closely with other developers and product teams. You will work with team members to understand and exceed the expectations of users, and constantly pushing the technical envelope and helping Cornerstone deliver great results. Working in an agile software development framework focused on development sprints and regular release cycles, you’ll own the complete feature story.

In this role, you will…
 

  • Develop and maintain backend components using Java EE.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve moderately complex software inadequacies.
  • Participate in the design and development of APIs.
  • Write code, unit tests, complete programming and perform the testing and debugging of moderately complex features following detailed specifications.
  • Support the integration of UI components with backend services.
  • Develop solution for moderately complex features based on agreed technical specification.
  • Assist in the documentation of processes, architecture, and technical design.
  • Communicate progress and challenges effectively with the team.

You’ve Got What It Takes If You Have…
 

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field.
  • Solid Core and Advanced Java/Java EE skills
  • Strong understanding of web development technologies.
  • Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns.
  • Basic understanding of UI technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (or experience working with front-end teams).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

Extra dose of awesome if you have...
 

  • Experience or coursework in building web applications or backend services.
  • Exposure to Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms or microservice architectures is a plus.
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL).
  • Knowledge of Advanced front-end development frameworks and platforms like Angular is a plus.
