The Quality Engineer plays a pivotal role in our organization, collaborating closely with Architects, Tech Leads, and development teams to ensure the highest standards of software quality and reliability. This position is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and testing of system and application software, with a focus on delivering robust solutions tailored to the unique requirements of the healthcare domain.

 

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer, with a focus on quality assurance and testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques, with proficiency in manual testing and test automation frameworks.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex software systems, identify root causes of defects, and propose effective solutions.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Implementation of rigorous quality assurance processes and methodologies to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our healthcare data applications.
  • Define and enforce best practices for software testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing, to maintain high standards of quality across the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in software quality and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and security in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of software requirements, design documents, and code to identify defects, usability issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software quality assurance, incorporating new tools and techniques as appropriate to enhance our quality assurance capabilities.

 

Hours of Work  

  • 9 hrs. a day (Monday to Friday)

What You Will Do: Engage in functional, regression, compatibility, acceptance, and end-to-end testing of software solutions Review and analyze functional and business requirements, and define/document suite of test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure complete testing coverage Execute test cases/scripts to test verify, and validate the quality/functionality of web applications Buildup and Execute Automated Test Collections to test REST API endpoints Identify and document/log defects/bugs, and re-test them when resolved Track defects through defect resolution, retest, and closure Well-versed with Software Quality Assurance - all aspects of functional, automated, and performance testing within a web application development environment  Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle in an agile development environment and the role and responsibilities of QA within the team  Understanding the methodology and having the ability to test and validate back-end APIs systematically.
