As a part of Vestas Power Solutions, Product Solutions & Integration is responsible for designing the product architecture and product roadmap in response to market roadmap requirements, translating product architecture and roadmap into module requirements, and full Value Chain Integration.

Loads and Control (LaC), as part of Product Solutions & Integration, is responsible for designing and optimizing the product for load and control strategy together with cross-product design work. The department consists of highly skilled, international, well-experienced engineers who are taking accountability for all aspects of the LaC solution delivered to the Products which are placed across 3 design locations: Portugal, Denmark and India.

The loads and Control Quality department is responsible for fleet performance (load & power performance), this team performs the Root causes for the issues reported from the field and provides a solution to fix them, and also feeds the learning from failures back to the design team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Working with Technical leads on the Control Solutions for Turbines
  • Understanding, Implementing & Testing the control code base change in line with guidelines
  • Participate in Implementation & Functional Reviews
  • Perform the RCA on controller performance issues and provide solutions
  • Provide the solution for turbine improvements on non-standard product requests, Service solutions

 

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Controls / Instrumentation & Controls / Mechatronics / Electro-mechanical/ Electrical / Engineering with a controls system background
  • 0-1 years of Working experience in Simulation/Modelling tools such as MATLAB SIMULINK 
  • High Competence in Mathematical modeling of Electro-Mechanical and hydraulic Systems 
  • Knowledge of Control Design and Control Tuning using a Model-Based Control Approach

 

Competencies

  • Strong in Control Theory
  • Programming knowledge in C++, SQL, R , Matlab
  • Control System Modelling, Controller Design, Controller Tuning & Controller Verification
  • Good knowledge in Power generation concepts.
  • Knowledge in Aero Dynamics

We do this by accelerating and governing the change management process for the complete value chain   PE Nacelles > Support & CI > BoM & Routing >G6   Responsibilities Creation and handling of Problem Reports, Change Requests and Change Notices for all Design and Production changes through PDMLink Windchill. Creation and handling of P BOM based on the requests from factories / changes to the G BOM. Create and Maintain Production Bill of material and ensure the design release/changes are implemented across Production/Supplier Plants. Handle phase in/phase out of the Materials and BoM based on the available stock, Open PO and future orders in production plants. Understand and analyze the Design changes and Verify the accuracy/completeness of BoM before the production implementation. Ensuring consistent Master data and BOM across the systems adhere to global governance. Responsible for Global Material Master attributes enrichment in Windchill PDMLink and SAP Conduct/ Participate ECM meetings along with Cross functional teams   Qualifications Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / EEE / Mechatronics) 0 - 0.6 Years of experience in any field. Competencies Change Management Knowledge: Understanding change management frameworks. Efficient handling of global stake holders. Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Power point for reporting day to day developments/ reporting. Exposure to Excel macros and Power BI is added advantage. Ability to plan & prioritize tasks - also in a time-sensitive setting. Fluent in English (Oral & Written).
