Summary: The Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer Interact closely with associates across IT. Your hands-on security technical expertise will help you execute your responsibilities for a broad range of tasks, and maturation of our Security Operation team including associated processes and procedures. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the day-to-day Security Operations of the Datacenter, Private and Public Cloud, and branch offices.
- Install security measures and operate software to protect systems, networks, and information infrastructure.
- Monitor, configure, and support network security analysis and honeypot technologies
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and respond to security incidents and indicators of compromise
- Participate in any new security project considerations at the onset and make recommendations as to which tools/platforms will fit best for solution. Document and integrate into overall design architecture.
- Maintain up-to-date, detailed knowledge of the IT Security Industry including awareness of new or improved security solutions and policies, processes, and procedures.
- Be a stable counterpart for the Infrastructure Department and play a key role in the Security Incident Response process.
EDUCATION
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in computer science, computer systems, or a related field.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE and/or ABILITIES
- At least five years of proven experience supporting and architecting secure large-scale enterprise IT environments and solutions for internal and outward-facing applications.
- Ability to participate in the development and deployment of Divisional-wide best practices for IT Security.
- Experience researching security enhancements and making recommendations to management.
- Experience investigating security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
- Understanding of patch management with ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding business impact.
- Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.
- Exposure and understanding of security practices within Azure and O365.
- Experience using log analysis platforms such as Splunk, Log Analytics, etc.
- Strong communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal and consultative skills.
- Dependable and flexible when necessary.
