Job description 

Your new role – challenging and future-oriented:

  • Perform analysis and design of single line diagram.
  • Develop concept of substation relaying & metering diagrams (i.e. A.C. schematic diagrams), and D.C. Schematic for basic design.
  • Prepare specification & Bill of Material for Protection/Control/Metering/RTU/ Communication Panels
  • Develop concept Diagram for substation control system and Communications interfaces including RTUs, HMIs, and IEDs.
  • Develop Protection and Control Panel layouts.
  • Develop high level Cable Schedule for Substation.
  • Perform Factory Acceptance Test for Protection and Control Panels.
  • Perform reviews of work performed by others.
  • Work closely with other engineering and design and project team members to coordinate overall design and requirements during execution and commissioning phases.
  • Understand and also clarify customer requirements, driving those expectations into Siemens solutions.


What You Bring

  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with background in Electrical Engineering.
  • 4-6 years of experience with a focus on protection/control/communications design for substations.
  • Experience in writing and providing support documentation for relay calculations.
  • Knowledge on ANSI standards, IEC standards knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with various vendor protective relay equipment typically used in substation. protection, including SEL, Siemens, GE.
  • Know-How in Configuration Tools for protection relays from different vendors (SEL, Siemens, Hitachi, GE, Schneider …) and control systems is preferable.
  • Expertise with Ebase and Auto-CAD.
  • Hands-on experience with the below shall be preferred: 
  • DIGSI-4 & DIGSI-5 
  • Relay Configuration tool of GE, ABB or equivalent. 
  •  Must have Relevant experience in working with System Integrators
  • Hands on experience and knowledge on working of different relays application.
