Job Description

Core Responsibilities

• Writes, executes and monitors backup routines, system boots, system error diagnosis, software installation, disk administration and maintenance logging.
• Manages computer system communications, maintenance scheduling and general welfare of computer environment.
• Performs reviews of terminal sessions, job queues and print queues to ensure proper timing and use of facility resources, including resource loading, data security and inventory of software and hardware systems.
• Operates auxiliary equipment directly associated with the computer.
• Maintains records regarding output units and supply inventories.
• Assists in adjusting computer operations when units of the system malfunction.
• Mentors junior team members from a technology perspective.
• Makes recommendations and improves existing automation systems.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
