Job description 

This team will be responsible for provisioning, securing, scaling & operating the network stack required to run distributed AI workloads across a cluster spanning thousands of GPUs. Our customers want auto-remediation of incidents, touchless upgrades across 1000s of network devices and adding network capacity seamlessly. These are exciting times and our team is still young and growing fast, working on ambitious new initiatives. We are looking for adaptable, self-motivated engineers with ability to learn quickly. You should be able to dive deep into any part of the stack and low-level systems, as well as design broad distributed system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with systems/application development 
  • demonstrated ability to develop network infrastructure automation scripts using Python
  • Proficient at programming in any two out of C/C++, Python, Java, Scala, GO
  • Proficient with data structures, algorithms, and operating systems.
  • Bachelors in computer science and Engineering or related engineering fields

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in SDN, NFV, Cloud Networking
  • Experience in Infrastructure-as-a-Service, viz. OpenStack, AWS, GCP, Azure.
  • Experience in building Applications at the Cloud Scale 
  • Experience with distributed systems: familiarity with CAP theorem, Consensus, messaging, High Availability etc.

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

We are looking for engineers with experience in building control plane components for public cloud services. You have experience with the design of major features and launching them into production. You’ve built and operated high-scale public cloud services and have deep understanding of control plane architecture. You work on most projects and tasks independently and extend technical leadership to development teams. In this role, you will enable development teams by driving design of major service components, working with engineering managers and TPMs, and providing direct guidance to more junior team members. You are able to go from high level system design, writing architectural documentation and driving engineering peer reviews to hands-on prototyping, code reviews and project bootstrapping. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications.
