General Summary:

Qualcomm IT is looking for "Network Engineer, Senior" to work on Qualcomm’s global network, a role based in Hyderabad.

This is a senior position in the company responsible for network engineering and operational support of Qualcomm's world-wide Data Center networks, LAN, WAN and load balancers. We are looking for an experienced staff with solid hands-on in routing, switching, data center technologies, application delivery control/load balancing, automation, cloud networking, etc.

Responsibilities:
•    Networking Support & Implementation in a large global IT infrastructure 
•    Provide Network support for production, office, and end-user environments
•    Support a broad range of projects, from enterprise-wide initiatives to localized solutions that may span across multiple departments or functions
•    Able to work under own initiative, address and resolve problems in a pressurized environment
•    Ability to produce RCA of incidents impacting network with minimum supervision and support
•Able to work in the shifts as required. 
•    Able to work as part of a virtual global/regional team with cultural and language differences
•    Able to deal with ambiguity and work independently with minimal supervision and guidance
•    Develop and maintain network documentation using MS-Visio, Power Point etc.

'Technical Qualifications:
 Required:
•    5+ years of experience working in large heterogeneous networking environments
•    Routing & Switching Hands-on Networking Skills (Enterprise & Data Center) 
•    Senior level knowledge and experience with protocols/technologies such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VRF, HSRP, Access-lists, STP, QoS, vPC/MLAG, VLAN, VXLAN, AAA, Radius/TACACS etc
•    Demonstrable experience working on Cisco IOS and/or NX-OS
•    3+ years of working experience designing and configuring Arista network switches
•    Experience working with networks with 10G/25G/40G/100G switch ports. 
•    3+ years of working experience with application delivery controllers/load-balancers. Citrix/ F5 Local and Global (GSLB) load balancers preferred. Expert level knowledge of VIPs, PKI/SSL, SSL Offload, and DNS as it relates to application load balancing
•    Knowledge of client-server architecture. Experience with TCP/IP operations and troubleshooting
•    Knowledge of datacenter installation and cabling standards 
•    Working experience with Linux and windows.
•    Experience with Ansible and/or Python automation for networking
•    CCNP or equivalent certified. CCIE a plus.
•    Knowledge/experience of network security technologies, firewalls, VPN a definite plus
 

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Networked Systems-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
OR 
5+ years of Networked Systems-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.

Physical Requirements:
• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 20 lbs.
