Job Summary

If you are an experienced Data Engineering professional passionate about building data solutions and looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you to lead a diverse team of data engineers, driving the design and implementation of data solutions within Azure Synapse Analytics and data lake architectures. This role encompasses team leadership, architectural design, data governance, and project management to ensure efficient and scalable data engineering solutions.

Leadership: Guide and mentor the data engineering team, encouraging teamwork and innovation.
Technology Proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics, coordinating data lake architectures and optimizing data pipelines.
Architectural Design: Design robust and scalable data engineering solutions, collaborating with multi-functional teams.
Data Governance: Implement and make sure data governance standard processes for quality, security, and compliance.
Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
Teamwork: Work closely with collaborators to understand data requirements and align strategies with organizational goals.
Project Management: Lead all aspects of project timelines, budgets, and prioritization for successful project delivery.

For This Role, You Will Need:

12+ years of experience in IT Industry and related domain
Proven experience in leading data engineering teams.
In-depth knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics, data lake architecture, and related technologies.
Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ETL tools.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
Relevant certifications in Azure data engineering.
Experience with other cloud platforms and data engineering tools.
Familiarity with agile methodologies.

This person, as well as their manager, will become our subject matter expert on Order Management business processes, including Quotation, Order management and Pricing and their integration points with other process areas, with a first focus on APAC region.   The role will provide support to sites that are in production, manage new enhancements and ensure common processes and best practices across sites, review global instance changes.
