Responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities

The engineer will manage and build shared security libraries and tooling, train developers in secure coding practices, identify gaps in existing processes and tools, and enhance development toolsets.

In this role, you will be :

  • Collaborating with software development and support teams during the design phase to build secure systems
  • Driving best practices and sound design principles through the Secure Software Development Lifecycle
  • Participating in complex software development projects as a secure development expert.
  • Educating teams across Baker Hughes Power on secure development best practices, tools, and methodologies.
  • Designing and building tools and libraries for the Power security team.
  • Participating in code reviews across teams to ensure secure coding practices.
  • Leading projects to drive the assessment, operationalization and adoption of new technologies, platforms, tools and frameworks

 

Required Qualifications

  • Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
  • Have a minimum 6 years of professional experience in IDAM and IGA technologies

 

Desired Characteristics

  • Have primary skillset in Identity and Access governance, which includes Birthright provisioning development, onboarding of connected and disconnected applications for access approval workflow and access reviews, SAV roles management, predictive and detective controls development, AD groups and DL management, simplifying architecture and developing automations and related engineering services
  • Be ready to lead and complete org level and team level initiatives to automate and streamline processes. Should have relevant experience in the same
  • Have a general understanding of supporting technologies including SOAP, OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect, HTTP, XML, LDAP, SQL, and XACML.
  • Have experience with IAM solutions like Cyber-Ark, Ping Identity, Siteminder, Attribute Exchange Network
  • Have experience with Java / NodeJS / Go / PHP / Python / Ruby
  • Spring and Maven exposure
  • Have working knowledge of OWASP Web/API vulnerabilities and compensating controls (CSRF, XSS, SQLI, etc.)
  • Be familiar with encryption fundamentals: PKI, Encryption, Digital Signatures & Key Management
  • Have Software development cycle and automated testing experience (TDD/BDD)
  • Have working knowledge of source control tools such as CVS/SVN /Git , with preference for Git


Technical Expertise:

  • Have IDAM and IGA experience - Saviynt 5.5 and 2023
  • Have good development background, with a focus on secure development.
  • Have knowledge of API Security Architecture
  • Have working knowledge of Cloud Provider security architecture design patterns
