Job Description Essential Responsibilities: In this role, you will: Act as a solution architect from the commercial tender stage until the solution freeze after project start: Define the solution architecture, write the technical proposal, write the commercial part (including the budgetary offer incl. T&Cs) and support the project director after project start until the finalization of the IT architecture. Perform As-Is To-Be analysis, define and execute solution demos, and define and support the scope for Proof of Concepts or Pilot Provide deep SW (Software) / HW (Hardware) technical architecture expertise to ensure proper solution design Establish different solution options with price/cost estimate based on customer’s requirements Closely Partner with the Digital Hydro CoE based out of France which defines the strategy and the priorities Drive the execution and the customer solution adoption with GE project team from design to deployment Lead the technical interfaces between client and GE project team Hands on the solution implementation supported by GE software experts, and other engineering groups (instrumentation, monitoring, hydro engineering Center of Excellence) Support the New Equipment Sell / retrofits: provide digital package to differentiate our new eq offering Establish a deep understanding of our customers business and technical needs Proactively engage with customer and close follow-up, working hand in hand with the hydro sales, services and Digital Sales Establish a trusted relationship with both our external customers (Corporate C-Suit level and plant level) and internal sales and technical teams for GE Renewable Energy. Run customer discovery sessions, workshops to Identify pain points, define their needs and carve out the right digital solution (predictive analytics, maintenance strategy, remote monitoring & diagnostic…) while matching their internal constraints (IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, data privacy, on-Prem vs cloud etc.). Availability to travel to sites from time to time and provide support to the Hydro services team Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Science, Engineering, Technology or related discipline from an accredited college or university Minimum of 10 years of experience in software presales, software sales or software architecture Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence solution direction to both technical and non-technical audiences alike across all organizational levels Commercial acumen to propose/present options with cost/price impact to expedite decision making Technical acumen to interface with technologists, understand complex concepts and translate in a way that businesses, customers or industry can understand. Strong understanding of the technology, systems and applications offered in Renewable Energy or Industrial company (i.e. scada, enterprise connectivity solutions, analytics SW or SalesForce or ERP solutions presales) Good oral and written communication skills High Autonomy and self-starter Fluent in written and spoken English
