Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and work in business development through customer connect and defining and presenting GE’s offerings and working on localization solution for APAC
  • Work on Large, complex multi-year HVDC & FACTs projects. Main area of responsibility will be working as interface between Product Engineering team, Project execution team & Customer. Will have to demonstrate direct or indirect leadership and/or management of project deliverables.
  • Lead the activities for Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
  • Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
  • Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
  • Lead business development within the market, identifying opportunities for growth. Identifies market demands in terms of technology requirements and advancements, feeding back to business.

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires good experience in the HVDC & FACTs technology Projects. Should have Bachelor's degree in Power Electronics from reputed college and B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from Top college/university will exemplary academic records.
  • Should have 10-12 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

Job Description Your Role: Working together with the Document Controller to ensure that the administration of the documents is properly organized and handled. Working together with the offices responsible to ensure that all local contracts from the site are awarded only to demonstrably qualified suppliers and/or that appropriate preventive actions are taken to eliminate weak points. Prepare and agree audit schedule. Working together with the Site Management to ensure that the material handling manager, assembly and commissioning staff responsible check all incoming shipments for damage in transit and completeness of shipment. Checking the contractors I&T plans, approved FQP and associated procedures for their work at the Site and acting via the Site Manager, advising any corrections required. Monitoring to make certain that the inspection and testing during assembly and commissioning are conducted, documented, checked, approved, and documented as prescribed in the I&T Plans and the Approved FQP and that the testing status is readily identifiable. Acting according to agreement with the Site Management in organizing and supervising acceptance testing and/or approval by customers and governmental authorities.
