Job description 

Role mission & context

As a Digital Product Owner in the Data Organization, you will be a member of the Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics Team.
In this role, you will define and control the technologies and processes of Data Visualization in Volvo Group. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define the strategy and drive innovation.
Part of the Data unit within Volvo Digital & IT, Digital Product Owner for BI & Advanced Analytics, will be a central player in Volvo Data transformation journey.

Main responsibilities

  • Develop a clear vision for the Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics function, aligning it with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring that analytics products meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leverage your expertise with tools such as Power BI, Qlik, and Knime to design, implement, and maintain data-driven solutions.
  • Take ownership of the team backlog, prioritizing features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on business value and user needs.
  • Develop and maintain a clear roadmap for Data Visualization capabilities, ensuring alignment with the broader data strategy and objectives.
  • Secure that the team regularly collects feedback on implemented work.
  • Responsible for team and culture development to secure proper capacity and capability for its delivery.

Required competencies

  • Experience in Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics
  • Contribute to the establishment of Data Visualization and Advanced Analytics products roadmap
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills are a requirement
  • Experience from working in a global context
  • Work proactively with continuous improvements
  • Skilled in driving IT deliveries
  • Experience in Agile methodology
  • Experience in managing IT platforms
  • Leads teams efforts in continuous learning and improvement
  • Skilled in managing performance of 3rd party operations and resources
  • Good understanding of data platforms and market trends in those areas is added value
  • Familiar with BI and Advanced Analytics technologies (Power BI, QlikView/Qlik Sense, KNIME)
