The Role / Responsibilities:
The MIS Research group’s objective is to enable MIS to get the right research to the right people at the right time. The Research group is responsible for driving research content, organizing product management, Business Intelligence fir MIS Research, overseeing operations & managing operational controls. This role is part of the function that supports our Research and Ratings activity to enable proactive decision making. BI is a global team with members located in New York and Bangalore.
Key activities include:
• As a data systems owner, provide timely user support for PostgreSQL, Alteryx, and Tableau, to ensure we meet or exceed related BI Services, mainly Dashboards.
• Must be a pro in writing SQL for business insight and business analytics.
• Analyze process problems and provide end-to-end support for solution development, working closely with business analysts and other developers.
• Support the implementation of automations, features, integrations, and workflows that add value to the customer journey and the organization.
• Create, maintain, and deliver high-quality, effective end-user and admin training and documentation.
• Provide technical support for reporting and data analysis:
• Data Management (Data Back-up, Extract, Import, Update, Delete, etc.)
• Develop and execute data clean-up measures
• Enrichment of existing records, remove duplicates
• Campaign list uploads, data scrubs, leads, opportunities and territory reassignments
• Maintain a record of original data and corrected data
• Resolve all internal data exceptions in timely and accurate manner
• Ensure adherence to data quality standards.
• Evaluate large datasets for quality and accuracy.
• Build test suites using SQL queries and other DQ tools.
• Identify, compare, and resolve data quality problems.
• Create reports using Tableau, Cognos, Salesforce.com, MS Access or MS SQL.
• Ability to work effectively with subject matter experts, senior leaders, and business users/stakeholders.
• Foster a culture that embraces and reinforces MIS policies.
Qualifications:
• At least three (5) years of experience in information technology, database SQL or a related field; bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field; or a combination.
• At least three (5) years of experience with implementation, administration, and/or optimization of a SQL systems.
• Familiarity with ETL, BI and data warehousing concepts.
• One (5) year of relevant system solution development, testing, and implementation preferred.
• Familiarity with lean, agile, and traditional project management methodologies preferred.
