Responsibilities 

  • Monitor the different SCADA signals from turbine components and analyze/predict the failure of components
  • Recommend the respective corrective action/work instructions based on the analysis to resolve the failures
  • Improve the efficiency of Predictive models which is used for monitoring the turbine components
  • Develop recommendations/ideas on how to improve monitoring quality
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders, component specialists, other cross-functional teams, etc, and work on improving the turbine monitoring

 

Qualifications 

  • Background in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with Bachelors/Masters
  • At least 6 years of working experiences preferably in wind industry or energy sector
  • Work experience as WTG engineer/ Technical support engineer for Wind Turbine will be an added advantage
  • Working knowledge on various Vestas Fleet would be advantage
  • Good Diagnostic and troubleshooting technical skills with emphasis on root cause analysis
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written English

Competencies   

  • Ability to analyze the wind turbine component failures pattern from wind turbine standard controller signals from Equipment like Voltage, Temperature, Pressure, Electrical Signals Etc
  • Stakeholder Communication- Interact constructively and become a solution provider to Different Stakeholders from Various Functions
  • Equipment Knowledge - Understand product technology around drivetrain, bearings, hydraulics, cooling systems and other electrical Components like Motors, Pumps, Etc
  • Maintenance Program - Assist in developing preventative and predictive maintenance programs for wind turbine equipment. Should Know the basics of Different Maintenance Practices like Preventive Maintenance, Proactive Maintenance, Condition Based Maintenance, Reliability Centered Maintenance Etc
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems will be added advantage
  • Continuous improvement - Continuously looks for ways to improve and provide better solutions
  • Decision Making - Understanding of Business Case or Other criteria to prioritize projects while working on multiple projects
  • Efficient business insight that enables to make recommendations to the operational business based on data insight
  • Experience in systematic process to have a consistent attention to detail, which enables you to meet the deliverables and Problem-Solving Methodology such as RCFA, FMEA, etc
