Job description 

The position is in the Tools and Automation Framework Development team, a part of Juniper Professional Services. In this role, the candidate needs to take on multiple responsibilities at any given time in the Project.

There is a wide range of technical offerings which the Consultant will be expected to deliver, ranging from Solution, Software design and development, Deployment, Configuration, Customization, Maintenance and Training. Since the team is customer-focused, the candidate should be good in both written as well as Verbal communication.

The candidate should possess a fair amount of leadership skills to be able to guide a team, prioritize requirements and handle stakeholders. Should be innovation-driven and have a keen acumen for keeping abreast with the market trends.

Primary skills and experience required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer science/IT or similar discipline
• Master’s degree in similar disciplines more desirable.
• Expert communication and interpersonal skills mean you like talking to people...yes in person, too!
• Strong Software design and implementation experience.
• Should have hands-on programming knowledge in Python and Go.
• Commitment to delivering a remarkable customer experience
• Should have strong experience in Git, DevOps and DevSecOps.
• Should have working experience in REST APIs, SNMP, Kafka, Redis, ELK stack and NoSQL databases.
• Should have experience in developing and deploying applications securely in public cloud environments like AWS and GCP.
• Should have sound knowledge about security implementation techniques/tools in product development, Operating systems and in Cloud.
• Knowledge of cloud-native design patterns and experience in Designing Multi-cloud Environments
• Strong experience in container-based Cloud Management Platforms (Kubernetes or OpenShift)
• Good understanding of networking virtualization in Private clouds - VMware ESXi or OpenStack
• Good knowledge in XML, YAML, JINJA & YANG
• Good knowledge in Ansible, Terraform
• Should have strong knowledge of Software lifecycle management – build, release and version control software components
• Should have the ability to design automation frameworks and automate test cases across the software life cycle
• Should have experience handling customer bugs, triage, root cause analysis and delivering validated fixes with releases
• Should have exposure to SDN, Network Management and Orchestration platforms.

 Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Microservices, Domain driven design and event-driven architectures
• Good technical understanding of distributed systems, large-scale server and cloud infrastructures
• Exposure to Multi-cloud deployments in OpenStack/ AWS / Azure / Google Cloud platforms
• Experience in deploying & managing clustered or highly available applications
• Should have Network Automation Domain knowledge
• Network Management, and Telco Cloud exposure is preferable.
• Knowledge of Telemetry streaming or any kind of streaming protocol is desirable.
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts and good knowledge of AIOps techniques is preferable.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices is desirable.
• Should be able to mentor his juniors and work closely with them to deliver customer projects.
• Prior Customer Engagement experience is preferable.
• Working experience in Scrum / Agile methodology is preferable.
• The candidate may need to get involved in Customer Management, Stake Holder management and Negotiation with Customers and hence candidate having these skills will be preferable
