JOB DESCRIPTION

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience working in Consumer Electronics for related products and technologies.
     

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with hardware products.
     
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, global, consumer-oriented environment.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

In this role, you will lead market expansions and end of life planning gates for phones and its ecosystem products by assessing the business opportunity and financial impact, and managing work-streams to optimize costs. You will manage and shape some of Google's boldest ventures. You will work cross-functionally with product management, carrier engineering, operations, marketing, finance, sales and supply chain and many other teams within Google to build a sustainable Pixel business globally.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the pricing strategy proposal that supports the product strategy.
  • Lead all aspects of end of sale and end of life management for sustaining products.
  • Lead or assist in core initiatives involving content offer and ecosystem bundle strategies and lead all aspects of launch readiness.
  • Drive the development of Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) strategy for New Product Introduction and expansion markets.
  • Work on cost reduction work streams to help Pixel and its ecosystem scale sustainably.
