What You'll Bring:

How you’ll contribute:  ​ 

  • Work with technology teams to analyze data requirements (functional and non-functional) and provide data architectural design solutions for business and technology initiatives 
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources and data-gathering techniques 
  • Design data structures, data models, and data pipelines, leveraging the support of subject matter experts to deliver business intelligence/data science capabilities for the organization 
  • Create data models at all levels including conceptual, logical, and physical 
  • Collaborate within an agile, multi-disciplinary team to deliver solutions 
  • Developing knowledge and expertise on the people, practices and tools used at TransUnion to manage and govern our data assets 
  • Working with business units to assign data governance roles and ensuring clear responsibility for ownership and stewardship of data assets 
  • Developing, maintaining and supporting the widespread adoption of data dictionaries 
  • Facilitating the development, implementation and communication of data standards 
  • Designing and implementing enhancements to Data Governance processes 
  • Collecting, analyzing and synthesing information from a variety of large and complex data sets to develop context and derive insight around data risks, issues and opportunities 
  • Reporting on risks, issues and performance to senior stakeholders 
  • Monitoring data incidents and assisting with investigation, root cause analysis and remediation activities 
  • Championing an elevated understanding of Data Governance principles, processes and measurements 
  • Utilize effective project management techniques to execute development efforts to timely and successful completion 
  • Effectively translate business requirements into solution design 
  • Utilize ETL tools to transform data and promote workflow automation 
  • Utilize data visualization tools to produce efficient and visually appealing dashboards 
  • Complete analytics projects related to Sales/Business Intelligence 
  • Deliver analytic insights and recommendations in succinct and compelling presentations for internal customers and an executive audience.

  • ​A passion for data governance and how it benefits an organization 
  • ​Degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics or Computer Science discipline is required 
  • ​Domo, Tableau CRM and/or Salesforce.com experience required 
  • ​Expertise in database aggregation and reporting skills 
  • ​Ability to facilitate discussions with groups of stakeholders with varying goals and accountabilities related to core business datasets 
  • ​Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making experience in the identification of risks, definition of plans to control/remediate risks, measuring risks, and reducing risks across data assets 
  • ​Competent in defining, reviewing and challenging data management standards, practices, systems and controls 
  • ​Strategic, conceptual thinker with proven ability to facilitate organizational and behavioral change 
  • ​Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of technical and non-technical business stakeholders 
  • ​Ability to articulate business issues without resorting to technical language 
  • ​Comfortable presenting ideas and information to all levels within the organization  
  • ​Strong organization and time management skills, specifically working to deadlines with multiple deliverables
