As a Technical Project Lead, you will develop leadership skills and make an immediate business impact.
As a Technical Project Lead, you will be responsible for:
Simultaneously lead 2-5 small technical teams through the execution of designs for SMR instrumentation
Being the primary independent design verifier/reviewer for SMR instrumentation applications to ensure design output satisfies the input
Identifying required resources to execute SMR instrumentation projects
Securing required resources from appropriate Engineering Discipline Managers
Spending 15-20% of time performing actual technical design work
Leading the development of new design practices for nuclear instrumentation product designs
Capturing lessons learnt from SMR design execution to feed into scoping of new opportunities and development of overall SMR strategy
Prioritizing the deck of SMR instrumentation projects
Being the single point of contact for project managers, and other functions.
Working closely with SMR applications engineer to translate customer requirements into a complete and accurate internal design specification

To be successful in this role you will have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Nuclear Physics, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management or nuclear instrumentation design
Demonstrated ability to lead project teams
Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally 20-30% of the time
Exposure/experience with Small Modular Reactors (SMR)

Desired Characteristics
Master's Degree in Nuclear Engineering, Nuclear Physics, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
8+ years of experience in nuclear instrumentation design
PMP certification or equivalent
Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP system
Results-oriented self-starter with a track record of delivering results
Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all organizational levels
Experience operating in a matrix structure
Familiarity with shared services team structures
Familiarity with any of the following a plus: ASME Code Sections II, III, and/or IX, IEEE323/344, MCNP, GEANT, SMR design concepts
