JOB DESCRIPTION
Role
You'll work with our design and product management and architecture teams to influence the direction of the product and plan the steps to get there. You'll build teams, empowering them to achieve their goals, and putting those goals into broader context. Your greatest responsibility will look after the individuals reporting to you – coaching and supporting them in their professional development, unlocking their potential, and challenging them to step outside their comfort zone to grow and excel. As a hands on engineering leader, you will also contribute to the engineering and operational practices and bring in a continuous improvement mindset.
Team Scope
As a senior engineering manager, you will bring in your rich technical and leadership experience in driving a team of 2-3 scrum teams. The span of the team would be 12-20 and would be the front line manager role, to start with. As someone, you will work with multiple principal engineers and coach engineers. You will not only drive impactful outcomes, but also take part in driving the technical architecture. As a seasoned leader, you will bring in world class engineering excellence and operational excellence. You’ll also thrive in a that has, multiple global dependency footprint and diverse stakeholders.

Significant experience with building large-scale web software
Experience in leading large development teams directly
Experience in developing platforms and products in a SaaS world on AWS
Strong technical experience and a passion for getting involved in the details
Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
Ability to drive technical excellence, pushing innovation and quality
Strong and communication skills
Driving clarity from single line requirements and providing direction in an
A track record of and delivering results
Managing frontline engineering managers and architects
