We are seeking for a talented Senior Financial Controller to join our team.

You will provide financial guidance and analysis for assigned IT Services departments, coordinate budget and forecast process, support business case creation, ensuring financial control in line with DPDHL policies.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Present financial results for the assigned department, explain variances and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support yearly budgeting and monthly forecast process.
  • Participate on month / year-end accounting closing, preparing accruals, posting adjusting journal entries, analysing transactions.
  • Provide financial advice and support for the assigned department.
  • Departmental managers provided with timely and accurate financial results, variances highlighted and explained.
  • Accurate planning / forecasting for assigned department.
  • IFRS compliant financial statements for the assigned department.
  • Follow up on customer requests.
  • Keep the management of the assigned department to account for financial results.
  • Provide comprehensive explanation of the financial results and agree with the management action plans as required.
  • Support month end process for assigned departments.
  • Timely, complete, accurate financial statements IFRS compliant.
  • Clear and accurate departmental plans aligned with the management and the overall planning process.
  • Timely Business Case submission in quality allowing proper decision making.
  • Presentation of departmental performance.
  • Action plans aligned with the management.
  • Ensure comprehensive, timely and meaningful planning for the assigned departments.
  • Support Business Case submission process in line with IT Services Investment Guideline.
  • Review P&L, FTEs, utilization & other relevant KPIs.
  • Follow up and resolve anomalies identified through the variance analysis

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Detail oriented with a focus on high quality service performance across different locations with different conditions.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel and Power BI, MS SQL is advantage.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices from international companies, preferably IFRS/US GAAP.
  • Previous experience of financial analysis / controlling gained in an international environment, preferably IT related.
  • Personal drive, enthusiasm and resilience to achieve objectives in line with deadlines.
  • Developed problem solving skills.
  • Well developed interpersonal skills to encourage and facilitate support and buy-in across the organisation; a good communicator, with well-developed oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience within Finance.
  • Degree level.
  • Controlling manager within IT Services Finance.
