Job Description Responsible for presenting available internal and sometimes external resources (offshore, nearshore, and contractors) to fit project demand and budget. Partners with Consulting management to maximize revenue opportunities, achieve the highest utilization, and increase customer satisfaction. Responsible for the collection, management, and communication of detailed resource specifications for assigned practice. Proactively identifies resources, using a variety of methods, or open specifications. Screens and makes recommendations on candidate selection. Escalate urgent requests on priority staffing calls. Submit Consulting Loan Agreements for new assignments and extensions. Confirm assignment end dates. Partner with management to understand assigned consultants skill levels and experience. Actively monitor the selection/acceptance process for assigned resources. Offer creative solutions when no resources with necessary skill sets are available. Recommend creative ways to utilize consultants who lack high demand skill sets. Identify resourcing issues and make recommendations for resolution. Update system with resource selection decision and supporting reason. Maintain data integrity. Contribute to overall practice reports and support ad hoc resourcing reporting. May act as a resourcing business partner to a practice leader. Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Strong understanding of the tools available to be able to provide statistical trend data. Five years of resource management or related experience. Confirms assignment end dates and processes assignment extensions as required. Partners with management to understand candidates’ skill levels and experience. Offer creative solutions when no resources with necessary skill sets are available. Identify resourcing issues and make recommendations for resolution. Maintain data integrity. Contribute to overall practice reports and support ad hoc resourcing reporting. May act as a resourcing business partner to a practice leader. Minimum qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of related experience in resource management or project coordination role. Preferred but not required qualifications include: Undergraduate degree. Ability to communicate effectively with consulting managers and project teams. Demonstrates creativity in problem solving, and strong organizational skills. Proven ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment. Excellent written and oral communication. Proficient in desktop applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email messaging tools, etc. Attention to detail and reliable follow up. Must be able to adapt to change quickly. Depending on the job, there may be additional minimum requirements and/or preferred qualifications. Job requires overlapping with Eastern US hours. Responsibilities Partner with Project Managers and to ensure accuracy of resource assignments Provide follow-up correspondence and status updates to Consulting managers and PMs regarding requested changes Create resource assignments in collaboration with PMs and Consulting managers Develop and deliver artifacts such as scheduled utilization reports, resource overallocations, resource management logs, etc. Build relationships with Consulting and Practice managers to facilitate strong internal communication Ensure consistent support and quality submissions through the development of quality relationships across the larger Resource Management team Assist with resource management initiatives including presentations and training document preparation Assist with internal resource management objectives, methodology and practices Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written Superb customer focus Ability to maintain strict confidentiality Thrive in a fast-paced environment Strong documentation and organizational skills Ability to prioritize, escalate and set expectations while balancing many different customers, projects and timelines
