We are looking for a Process Planning Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for planning and managing the process of assembly, fabrication, and welding. Your duties will include designing jigs and fixtures, validating processes, conducting audits, and improving process capability. It is important that you have knowledge in arc welding processes, drawing reading, and various quality control tools. Strong skills in jig and fixture design, process design, and understanding manufacturing processes are also required.

Responsibilities:

· Process Planning for Assemblies requiring welded Fabrication and assembly. (Experience in various types of welding manufacturing processes)

· Design and manufacturing of jig and fixtures through outside vendors.

· Process validation and qualification

· Improvement activities for process

· Process Audit

· PPAP documents

· Machine / Equipment selection for fabrication process and assembly processes. Knowledge of Fool proofing and automation.

· Process capability study and improvement

· Layout design

· VSM of existing production lines

· Completion of task related to new products on time

· Benchmarking of manufacturing processes worldwide for current and new processes.

· Tooling management

· Review and update master list of process documents i.e. PFD,FMEA,CP in order to ensure correct revision of document, date of document change

· Review and update work instructions/SOP to ensure incorporations instructions related to human safety and product safety

· Auditing lines to ensure availability of latest WI,SOP at all manufacturing processes

Routine Activities:

· Quality control issues discussion in QCM

· Action plan for quality issues

· Correction on sudden failure

· Updating SOP, Specification Sheet.

· p- tag (process deviation) resolution

Knowledge:

· Arc Welding processes “must”

· Drawing visualization and drawing reading

· APQP,PPAP,FMEA,SPC, MSA , 6Sigma,Kaizen, inspection of product.

· JIG and fixture design

· Process design, feasibility study of product manufacturing, machine and accessory selection.

· Manufacturing processes of sheet metal components and welding processes

· Tools & Fixture designing , Auto Cad.

· Understand layouts. flow, types, takt time, ct Time & motion study, information flow, line balancing, Understand value stream mapping

Job Description Essential Responsibilities Welding of tubes, air manifolds and sheet metal parts. Welding of stainless steel, Inconel material. Repair of defective stainless steel and Inconel castings. Welding and fabrication by using TIG and Orbital welding processes. Ability to read, understand, analyze and interpret drawings, manuals, SOP, MOS and other material to determine finish product. Assembly of welded products.   Qualifications/Requirements Diploma with minimum 2.5 years of experience in welding and fabrication. Shall be certified in welding process as per AWS D17.1 in 6G position with II A & III B materials. Shall have experience to produce X ray quality Class B weld joints, with SS 321 & Inconel 625 material Highest Levels of Personal Integrity and Safety Mindset. Experience in engineering industry – with firsthand experience of fabrication of tubes and ducts of aircraft engines. Knowledge in welding machines usage and their accessories like welding positioners, Bevellers, Rollers, 3D welding tables, etc.
