Services Platform for Account and Connected Experiences Team

The SPACE (Service Platform for Account and Connected Experiences) team in the Windows+Devices group is focused on the delivery of innovative services that light up Microsoft Account experiences across all devices and platforms. We are passionate about working together to build delightful and inclusive account experiences that empower customers to get the most out of what Microsoft has to offer.

 

The SPACE team is responsible for driving innovation for new marquee user interfaces used by Windows customers around the world.  We’re looking for a collaborative, inclusive and customer obsessed engineer to help us build the future of Windows Authentication experiences like Passkeys as well as engage with our customers by building user centric notification platform across mobile apps and windows.

RESPONSIBILTIES

As a Software Engineer II in SPACE team, you will be responsible for using C++, WinRT and WinUI to develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions for Windows users.  

 

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse and supportive group of Developers, Program Managers, UX Designers, AI/ML Scientists and User Researchers to deliver features that leverage AI technologies (such as speech, vision, natural language processing, and machine learning, multimodal input - and more) in an integrated, seamless and polished fashion. You will have the amazing opportunity learn and grow by working closely with the architects and senior engineers who contribute to the overall technical vision and strategy of the “architectural how” of how we build a scalable architecture with great fundamentals (such as performance, power, reliability). 

QUALIFICATION

  • Enthusiasm for developing high quality Windows Experiences that are powered by cutting edge technologies 
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent, relevant experience)
  • 3+ years of experience (or equivalent relevant experience) in software development using development technologies such as C++, WinUI or XAML
  • Hands on experiences with software engineering principles and best practices such as design patterns, code quality, testing, debugging, etc.
  • Experience in the full development lifecycle of deploying software at scale
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive and supportive team
  • Experience in developing features and user experiences that use AI technologies such as speech, vision, natural language processing, or machine learning are a bonus#ewdindia #Jadisindia

Qualifications Required Qualifications:  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with 1+ proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. OR equivalent experience. Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications:  Hands on experience with distributed systems and services in the cloud. Experience with public cloud services including Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.   Responsibilities Contribute towards building the Azure Service Fabric platform that makes it possible for supporting multiple classes of applications accounting for application consistency, availability, and partition tolerance. Develop an understanding of Service Fabric orchestration and workflows in conjunction with platform level capabilities. Works in collaboration with teams across a single organization to develop reliable, scalable, and high-performance, software designs. Partners with engineering and Program Management teams to understand customer, business, and technical requirements to provide feedback to Azure Engineering. Triages, troubleshoots, and repairs complex live site issues by applying expertise in software and hardware components and features. Rapid cloud scale deployment of code and monitoring of telemetry Design, develop and operate large scale, efficient and reliable cloud services Drive continuous improvement on service quality and cogs efficiency
