About the team:   Finance Team is responsible for allocating resources, creating economic forecasts, reviewing opportunities for equity and debt financing, and other functions within your organization. 

About the role: The Payroll Manager will oversee and supervise the organization's payroll functions, leading

a team of payroll professionals, ensuring payroll is processed on time, accurately, and in

compliance with government regulations.

Expectations/ Requirements :

1. Oversees the daily workflow of financial transactions of the department.

2. To guide and mentor a team of highly motivated payroll professionals.

3 Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.

4. Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, Income Tax,

5. Provident Fund, Pension, ESI, Professional Tax, LWF and other deductions.

6. Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and salary revisions.

7. Prepares payroll accounting entries and creates provisions against liabilities.

8. Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.

9. Ensures statutory compliances and filing TDS returns, issuing of Form 16 etc.

10. Ensures full and final settlements to be completed within SLA.

11. Provides payroll information report for salary and cost variances to management.

12. Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to internal and external auditors.

13. Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.

Superpowers/ Skills that will help you succeed in this role :

1. Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience required.

2. Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, processing, internal control, and payroll taxes.

3. Extensive knowledge of payroll accounting and provisions.

4. Proficient in working on huge databases in excel.

5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

7. Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

8. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

9. Minimum 5 Years of team Leading experience.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
