You will be working as Senior Designer and will be part of Motion business for Traction division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for designing products considering project requirements (performances, manufacturability, serviceability, testability, etc.). Realizing Bill of Material, schematics and all kind of design documents.

Your responsibilities

• Hardware designing and developing of converters for railways applications, like traction converter, auxiliary convertor and battery chargers
• Conceptualizing new designs and translating concept into formal electronic design drawings
• Reviewing drawing or specifications and communicating requirements to vendor of customers
• Understanding and updating all product schematics and other design documentation
• Providing input and recommending changes to new and existing product designs
• Recommending improvements in all areas related to standards, products and drawings

Your background

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/electronic/power electronics engineering
• Preferring 4-7 years of related work experience
• Must have good experience in power electronics, traction convertor, auxiliary convertor, railways applications
• Power engineering preferably applied to railway products with 2 to 3 years of experience
• Proficiency design software including MATLAB and E3 schematic etc
• Able to perform and analyze results from simulations and Hand calculations
