Senior SD-WAN Software Engineer

It’s official – Silver Peak, a SD-WAN leader, has joined forces with Aruba!

This acquisition is a significant step forward in Aruba’s WAN transformation journey and demonstrates HPE’s continued commitment to double down on the Edge. The addition of Silver Peak into the Aruba portfolio will strengthen Aruba ESP (Edge Services Platform), helping to architect the hybrid workplace with a comprehensive edge-to-cloud networking solution covering all aspects of wired, wireless LAN and wide area networking (WAN).

We are looking for a senior software engineer who will own, develop, and deliver SD-WAN appliance software sub-systems and features. The candidate is expected to mentor junior engineers. Ability to work with existing large codebase is essential. Special preference will be given to candidates with strong background in Software Architecture and Performance Engineering.

What you’ll do:

Architect, Design, and Develop data path subsystems/features in the following areas:

• Link Management, Tunnel Management and Flow Management
• High Availability Framework
• Application Visibility and Control
• Policy based routing and ACL
• SASE, IPsec tunneling and Firewalling
• TCP/IP Applications (SSL proxy, DNS, VRRP, DHCP, AAA, Netflow, SNMP, Syslog)
• Virtual Routing and Forwarding

What you need to bring:

• Excellent coding skills in C, C++ on Linux platforms.
• 8 – 12 years of development experience.
• Strong Software Engineering background including Software Architecture and Software Performance Engineering.
• Ability to work with existing large code base and re-architect critical data path software modules.
• Development experience in v4/v6 socket applications
• Expertise in developing real-time multi-threaded applications on multi-core platforms.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and technologies
• Complete ownership, Problem-solving skills and tremendous self-drive
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Your Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in CS, ECE or equivalent required
