For “lighthouse projects”, critical to Software AG’s business success, you will collaborate with SAG account teams and customers to understand scope and timelines for projects, providing insights for necessary quality assurance measures for implementation. This quality assurance will combine the skills and knowledge of the NPI Engagement Manager, experts from the Product Units (e.g. Solution Architects), Professional Services, and others as needed. The NPI Engagement Manager will coordinate necessary experts and activities, tailored for the specific situation of the customer, using his or her subject matter expertise to deliver specific quality assurance activities, and involving the experts from different departments as needed for specialized tasks.

 

YOUR TASKS

The NPI Engagement Manager will

  • Work closely with the Product Units to understand functional scope and technical architecture of our new products before they are released, including critical success factors for implementation, and limiting factors.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Presales to understand the top NPI deals, and manage activities with the experts from the Product Unit related to approval of the planned use cases
  • Partner with Account Management, Professional Services and Global Support to define quality assurance activities for subsequent implementation projects / solution deployments
  • Build customer relationships to understand implementation project scope and timelines
  • Join regular internal and external alignment meetings to ensure progress of the implementation project
  • Conduct ‘Lessons Learned’ sessions and provide continuous feedback to SAG business units on how to improve our product and service offerings

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • Extensive experience in customer-facing technical roles
  • Technical skills related to Application and Data Integration - webMethods Cloud / StreamSets and Cloud solutions in general.
  • Superior written, verbal and face-to-face communication skills with a broad scope of stakeholders from senior management to technical engineers, both internally and customer-facing.
  • Strong experience in either project management (software implementation) or solution architecture design. Experience with formal methodology preferred.
  • Flexibility to assume responsibility for a critical deployment and go onsite at short notice if necessary.
  • Strong English language skills required.
