Job description

As the Senior Manager of Revenue Assurance you will be responsible for ensuring that the organization's revenue streams are accurately accounted for and recorded. This role will drive strong controls to ensure accuracy in Revenue reporting and robust mechanisms to ensure Revenue assurance. This role will work closely with the various cross functional teams like finance, operations, and sales to identify revenue assurance risks and opportunities across the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of revenue assurance policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks and ensure accurate revenue recognition.
  • Monitor and analyze revenue data to identify revenue risks and opportunities, and make recommendations to improve revenue performance.
  • Establish controls around credits assigned to all B2B Customers to ensure there are no unauthorized credit shipments
  • Work with business stakeholders to identify triggers and accurately capture Revenue, Returns, Refund for every operating channel.
  • Ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies and accounting standards, including the timely and accurate reporting of revenue.
  • Manage the revenue assurance team, providing guidance and direction on revenue assurance activities and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including finance, operations, and sales teams, to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Identify potential areas of Revenue leakage and drive process/ Tech enhancements to arrest the same.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to improve revenue performance and drive revenue growth.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the business model, products, and services, and proactively identify and address revenue assurance issues.

 

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a master's degree/CA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in revenue assurance, accounting, or finance.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience managing high performing teams
  • Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and ever-changing needs / environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate revenue risks and opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior exp in the Retail/Telecom industry will be a plus

The Revenue Analyst will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate reporting of revenue. AS A REVENUE ANALYST YOU WILL:  Perform validation to ensure completeness and accuracy of data flowing from CPQ and Finance ERP to RightRev (i.e., Revenue accounting system) Perform month-end close activities including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and back-end controls to ensure accuracy of revenue Perform accurate accounting of transactions with multiple performance obligations in accordance with ASC 606 and the Company’s internal revenue policy. Assist in internal and external audits through PBC generation and fielding questions. Develop and maintain desktop procedures for revenue accounting activities. Assist in the design and documentation of SOX controls to effectively mitigate financial statement risks.  JOB REQUIREMENTS: 5+ years of revenue accounting experience under US GAAP Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance CPA / Chartered Accountant preferred Advanced skills in Excel required; experience using Salesforce and Workday or other ERP system is preferred Experience in working with a revenue accounting system (e.g., RevPro, RAR) is a plus Ability to solve problems, both from an accounting and systems perspective. Ability to manage competing and evolving priorities and meet strict goals and deadlines. Required to work shifts to overlap with US time zones on critical days of month/quarter/year-end close Attention to detail and the ability to proactively manage own work streams as needed Adapts quickly to changes in a dynamic organisational structure and business processes Own monthly close and reporting processes including preparation of journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliation of revenue accounts and deferred revenue accounts Review arrangements with multiple performance obligations and assess allocation Collaborate within revenue team and with cross functional business units to develop business analytics and to review and analyse issues advise revenue accounting treatment Professional service revenue experience is a plus.
