Senior Engineer - ETL_Informatica (Techlead/Platform Engineer)

Deutsche Bank is looking for experienced Senior Informatica ETL Developers within our Private Banking Shared Applications division. Like the name implies, the role requires the candidate to display a high degree of personal ownership for the assigned application(s). He or she should be well organized and be capable to set individual and group priorities. Within the Shared Applications area team work and cross domain communication and cooperation are the primary keys to our success.

Your key responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and support ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter, including mappings, workflows, and sessions.
  • Create and maintain documentation for ETL processes, including technical specifications, data mappings, and test plans
  • Improve existing data designs and design new databases and data models, including relational table structures, using Unix Shell Scripting, Oracle and SQL Server
  • Manage the requirements gathering, development and rollout of major projects on the solution platform
  • Drive and develop new data import/export or other transformation exercises
  • Provide ad-hoc support for advanced strategic data analysis initiatives
  • Act as the go-to expert on all underlying transformation logic against data in the data Integration platform
  • Support business user questions about the data and provide documentation and training when and where necessary
  • Support campaign and report developers with data inquiries or new data requests
  • Drive and participate in all Integration topics
  • Leads in writing and reviewing software functional specifications and design reviews
  • Provides input to continuously improve ETL process discipline and resulting output quality

 

 

Your skills and experience

  • Knowledge in one or more of the technologies utilized in the MDI department (Informatica Power Center, Unix, Oracle , Automic Scheduler)
  • Agile experience or related training
  • Bank-related knowledge
  • Maven Experience, Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket)

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years overall experience with at least 6 years relevant experience.
  • Good experience in Leading and Managing different teams
  • Experience with file transfer protocols and system connectivity both midrange and mainframe. Prior knowledge of Informatica Power Adaptors in desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle or other rational databases including fundamental SQL
  • Experience with Informatica or other ETL Platform
  • Experience with data design
  • Experience with large volume batch processing and performance optimization
  • Experience with job scheduling design and implementation, preferably with Automic
  • First experience with Cloud technologies or strong willingness to familiarize yourself with them
  • Experience in automation of deployments and tests
  • Understanding in a DevOps context desirable
  • Strong understanding of architecture patterns, typical integration patterns, code conventions or other best practices
  • Knowledge working/supporting UNIX-based IT Landscapes
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time to deliver on commitments
  • A passion for constantly learning and applying new technologies and applications in a constantly evolving environment
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken)

JOB DESCRIPTION The bank is looking to transform the way we manage data across the organisation, and you will be at the forefront of leading the promotion and implementation of the robust frameworks that support this transformation.   You will be part of the Chief Data Office specialist team, that works with data, technology, compliance, legal, anti-financial crime specialists and divisional/country leadership teams across the bank. Your responsibilities will be to support the Asia Pacific Regional Data Officer in his/her responsibilities involving implementation of the Data Management and Data Residency & Access frameworks across the DB Group in Asia Pacific region, with focus on the data governance and data quality management processes set by the Data Management Policy – DB Group.   You will support and facilitate the regional adoption of global data principles, policies, procedures, standards and tools to facilitate compliance to policies as well as other general initiatives of the global roadmap of data.   Key Roles & Responsibilities The main responsibility of the position is to be an effective lead member of the Regional Data Office and to support the APAC Regional Data Officer in all the following responsibility areas:    Data Management & Reporting Executing regional mandate (across divisions) on data management topics Drive the rollout of global data management and data quality initiatives.  Initiate and manage regional projects as needed to deliver systemic improvements to regional data quality.  Provide consultancy on data management topics to support interactions of regional management with local regulators.
