Job Description

  • Drive roadmapping for Digital program management, lead quarterly planning for your area and track delivery of quarterly commitments. 
  • Maintains proactive engagement with stakeholders to ensure smooth quarterly planning and execution. 
  • Manages a team of program managers to deliver projects in support of internally- and externally-facing objectives. 
  • Is responsible for articulating & demonstrating the value of the team by providing goal accomplishments, impacts and supporting data. Comfortable with and the ability to coach the team through times of high ambiguity in support of the Brand & Digital team’s charter. 
  • Collaborates cross-functionally across Digital teams to deliver on quarterly commitments. 
  • Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and inform decision makers of appropriate trade-offs against development effort vs ROI. 
  • Drive effective collaboration, communication, and commitment across multiple groups with competing priorities. 
  • Obsessively monitor performance and continuously report out on project health and indicators for success with stakeholders throughout the project life cycle. 
  • Is responsible for reporting on KPIs/business health metrics that indicate success or areas of improvement for a specific functional area of the Program Management team.
  • Adhere to Digital Product & Program Management team standards. 
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that block or reduce the team’s ability to meet business goals.
  • Development and operationalization of new standard operational procedures, documentation, enablement and adoption.
  • Is responsible for ensuring governance & SOPs set forth are adhered to.
  • Is responsible for goal-setting with team members quarterly & annually.
  • Is methodical and calculated in approach, ensuring the team has the right processes and communication plans to complete their assigned objectives and improves upon standardized processes, tools, and activities to scale globally.
  • Is responsible for training and documentation on how to effectively apply and engage with functional teams to get work completed in support of objectives.
  • Is responsible for coordinating with Product Management and leadership on development of new capabilities where required by Digital programs
  • Is responsible for successful hiring & onboarding of new team members.
  • Is responsible for training and cascading the Portfolio-level processes to the team to ensure adherence.
  • Is responsible for distributing leadership announcements, information & context to the team.
  • Is responsible for motivating individuals, providing feedback and encouraging personal development in team members.
  • Able to provide career development guidance for team

This role is expected to be a hybrid position (3 days a week from our San Mateo office)

Qualifications

  • 8+ years program management experience ideally in Marketing, Digital or Brand team with proven ability to work effectively across all organizational levels. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including creating well-researched recommendation presentations for executive audiences and clear and persuasive proposals for collaborators
  • Proven success of influencing and developing productive working relationships with resources and internal or external customers.
  • Track record of successfully driving projects with many cross-dependencies between independent teams and delivering results that are coherent and broadly supported 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large programs, utilizing agile methodologies such as Scrum/Kanban and agile project management tools 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
