Solution Consultant - Pre Sales

Responsibilities

  • Support building and growing pipeline of opportunities for j5 based solutions for India
  • Work with regional Sales and PreSales teams to articulate the value proposition of our offerings and handle potential customer objections.
  • Attain “trusted advisor” status with IT and business executives within targeted accounts with the goal of creating a long-term partnership with customers.
  • Work closely with regional Sales and PreSales teams to craft responses to customer RFIs and RFPs
  • Work with the SDR team in training, developing messaging and support lead generation for j5 based solutions individually and in conjunction with other products and solutions where j5 based solutions are part of the package.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise and the central point of contact for j5 based solutions in the region for pre-sales engagements.
  • Develop and maintain repeatable demonstration systems and content for j5 based Solutions, or to a specific client’s requirements against sales opportunities.
  • Support key customer engagements in delivering Proof of Concepts or Pilots for j5 based Solutions against sales opportunities.
  • Work with new and/or existing clients to define their requirements, qualifying the fit of j5 based solutions and defining roadmap together with other members of the opportunity team.
  • Liaise with Services teams to provide feedback to the product managers on field and based on customer requirements.
  • Work with Services team in reviewing technical and scoping documents and ensure the smooth transition from sales to implementation services.
  • Contributes to the technical content of proposals including architecture, estimating level of effort and scopes of work (SOWs)
  • Act as a bridge between Sales and Delivery in order to provide a seamless customer experience throughout the customer life cycle
  • Work closely with the product center and strategic teams to maintain expertise and early knowledge of new functionality, as well as providing industry feedback to ensure a world-class customer experience with Hexagon offerings.
  • Good communication skills to deliver value statements, able to help with creation or execution of high-level technical presentations at conferences and events.
  • Minimum 50% travel required for client meetings and sales engagement.
  • Addressing any technical questions or concerns raised by customers.

Educational Qualifications

  • BE / B. TECH in Mechanical Engineering /Chemical Engineering and Above
  • Minimum 5 Years of Experience in Hexagon ALI Solutions (j5 Preferred) and Total of 7 years of Experience.
  • Technical and subject matter expertise in Capital Asset Operations in the areas of:
    • Shift Operations Management
    • Operator inspection rounds
    • Event management
    • Permit to Work
    • Action management

Overview

  • Good understanding of Operational Management Solutions in Petrochemical / Oil & Gas / Power Sector / Mining Sector etc
  • Functionally, able to understand and implement industry-appropriate use cases of at least the most in-demand solution areas/j5 modules: Operations Logbook, Shift Handover, Operator Rounds and Control of Work.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise and the central point of contact for j5 based solutions in the region for pre-sales engagements.
  • Develop and maintain repeatable demonstration systems and content for j5 based Solutions, or to a specific client’s requirements against sales opportunities.

Skills Required

  • Good understanding of Operational Management Solutions in Petrochemical / Oil & Gas / Power Sector / Mining Sector etc
  • Good project planning and specification and estimation skills, together with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to develop realistic project plans.
  • Confident working with Enterprise client IT personnel and managers to determine system architecture and design needs.
  • Good Enterprise and Cloud IT infrastructure knowledge as well as Cloud interoperability technology.
  • Proficient Knowledge of MS Office tools – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio etc..
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work in a team and to work independently with key clients as required
  • Good understanding of current and potential integrations with other external and products, primarily: SAP PM, AVEVA PI, SDx, AKMS, PSI. Basic understanding of RESTful web services and APIs in general.
  • Good working knowledge of Hexagon solutions (j5 software) or equivalent competitor software solutions
  • PreSales Experience and Customer Facing experience would be an added advantage.
  • Based on the customer's requirements, create customized solutions, presentations, or proposals.
  • Addressing any technical questions or concerns raised by customers, highlighting product capabilities, and providing insights into integration possibilities.
