PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Support pre-sales commercial and technical evaluation process. Review of complex measurement requests, clarifying technical questions. Advise on go/no-go decisions Provide technical specifications and work ups for complex analyzer quotations Carry out technical review of complex order measurement requirements, with confirmation of quotation work up or adjustment as necessary. Assist Operations and Service with difficult applications (e.g. dangerous gases, special measurements) and debug of analyzers. Configure analyzers to customer requirements, carrying out lab testing as required Develop new methods for customer needs (projects, approvals, orders) and market opportunities. Carry out desktop and laboratory studies to confirm Gas Analysis product capabilities. Perform measurements to determine specifications for new components/parts and prototype analyzers Record, analyze and interpret results from analyzer tests (prototype, new methods, production, field trials), prepare reports and make recommendations as appropriate. Develop and document standard applications, using appropriate tools, e.g., programming automation routines for standard application measurements in LabView. Other responsibilities or tasks that are within your skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed. Support field trials and installations of beta test systems or new application approvals. This is likely to require international travel. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Engineer, physicist, or chemist Experience in measurement instrumentation Preferred Experience in gas analytical technologies Practical experiences in lab Spectroscopy knowledge Know-how of chemical process industry Knowledge of MS Office, Photoshop, Labview and Acrobat InDesign Ability to create English literature Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline
