Amazon is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic candidate to join the fast-paced world of Payroll operations. We are not an average retailer and this is definitely not your average payroll position reporting in through Amazon Finance Operations. We’re looking for exceptional people with outstanding communication, problem solving skills, payroll process combined with payroll system knowledge, and customer service passion and will be responsible for employee receivables recording, collections and resolving customer queries and providing resolution related to overpayments

Amazon seeks a Payroll Analyst with at least >3 years of US Payroll experience in a large customer-oriented corporate environment and collections experience will be an added value

Key job responsibilities
• Have a good understanding of US Payroll
• Ensure timely closure of receivables and payments with high degree of accuracy
• Focus on better employee experience and improve collection effectiveness
• Work with internal teams to drive process improvements and resolve escalations and discrepancies related to repayment obligations
• Should be flexible with shifts



A day in the life
• Handle customer queries through tickets and email related to Overpayment and Receivables
• Provide support and assist in resolving employee queries
• Process and explain manual check calculations, work with multiple stakeholder teams to understand root cause of overpayment/receivable and provide details to employees
• Produce timely responses to employee queries
• Secure payment or commitment to collect payments from the employees
• Coordinate with them and other business unit via available communication tools (email, chime, phone etc)
• Work on Deep Dives and escalations from Employees and identify process gaps and controls

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of relevant experience • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Payroll or Accounting knowledge • Flexible to work in shifts • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Prior experience with US Payroll/Taxes is preferred
- Strong problem solving and review skill

Amazon seeks a Payroll Analyst with at least two years US Payroll and Tax experience in a large customer-oriented corporate environment. Payroll is processed on a weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis in multiple states, and this person will perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility including performing tax related adjustments/set ups for employee and employer. Responsibilities also include: • Update tax panel changes for employees as per Form W-4. • Perform audits to check taxes are deducted as appropriate. • Set up new sites for amazon locations and tax panel set up as per legal requirement. • Process current year adjustment as per employee request and audit findings. • Answer questions related W2 and issue W2 Correction, if required. • Process Tax Agency notices and work with payroll Vendor (ADP) for resolution. • Perform quarter end and year end activities including YE communication, SIT credit correction, review of W2, client error report, Quarterly Verification letter, wage and tax register review etc. • Communicate with employees to resolve their questions using communicator or through call. • Process Out of Sequence payroll on quarterly basis for quarter end adjustments. • Process Amendment using amendment sheet. • Support Tax compliance manager in agency/IRS audits. • Perform pre and post payroll interface audits. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the collection efforts for customers with credit risk concerns, ensuring that accounts are handled appropriately and communicate with clients as required to increase the percentage of on-time payments. Strong experience in Credit and Collection processes and implementation of strategies to increase the successful collections on past due invoices and increase the penetration of accounts 2. Work with Collections to highlight high risk and bankruptcy customers and ensure the right escalated steps are being followed for collecting and safeguarding Amazon’s exposure. 3.
