For more information, visit Amdocs at www.amdocs.com In one sentence The role of the Disaster Recovery Engineer is to analyze & understand DR needs, recommend on DR strategies and do DR implementations. The DRP engineer will be responsible for conducting end-to-end DR tests. Develop a disaster recovery documentations, policies, processes, and procedures to make sure the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of the organization systems & data. The role combines both technical, project management and system analyzing skills. All you need is... The job includes the following duties: Develop disaster recovery plans, procedures, and policies for the restoration of essential business applications Validate all the DR replications success Assess & analyze DR gaps (RPO, RTO, replications deficiencies), contribute to the design & implementation of the DRP solutions Work with IT department and other key personnel to determine if changes in hardware or software configurations affect disaster recovery plan outcomes Support technologies and infrastructure assessments as part of the business impact analysis process Operate in a complex environment due to global distributed components that are in dependency with various systems and end users (Internal and external) Creation and maintenance of DR maps Provide DR status reports to the Global Corporate DR Manager Ensure all disaster recovery plans are reviewed and updated regularly Establish and maintain detailed DR communications and command and control plans through a change management process.
