What will your job look like?

1. Engineering - Design, develop, modify and integrate complex infrastructure automation and deployment systems; Ensure code and configuration are maintainable (IaaC), scalable and supportable; Use extensive knowledge & expertise of the Amdocs product/solution and technologies to support the direction of the infrastructure solution. Follow Amdocs software engineering standards, applicable software development methodology (such as design-led thinking, DevOps) and release processes. Promote system reliability and operability. Serve as an expert on specific technology.
2. Investigation - Investigate infrastructure issues by reviewing/debugging CI/CD pipeline and runtime environments and providing fixes (analyze and fix bugs) and workarounds. Review changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions. Highlight risks and help mitigate them from technical aspects.
3. Technical Expertise - Serve as a highly specialized Technology / Product expert, acting with high autonomy to deliver agreed technical objectives. Provide technical expertise in terms of Infrastructure architecture usage for functional and non-functional aspects; Obtain a strong technologies context understanding while making technical decisions and solving technical issues; Able to resolve significant and unique problems that have a high level of complexity.
4. Professional Leadership - Provide guidance to DevOps engineers for the E2E software deployment, maintenance & lifecycle; Enforce and guide on technical standards (e.g. tools, and platforms), ensure that documentation related to the application life cycle architecture is correct and up to date;  Enforce quality processes, such as performing technical root cause analysis and outlining corrective action for given problems, promote Developers autonomy.
5. Innovation & Continuous Improvement - Promote continuous improvements/efficiencies to the product life cycle and business processes by utilizing common tools and different innovation techniques and guiding the reuse of existing ones.
6. Stay up to date with new technologies in practice in the industry 
7. Team Work and Collaboration - Collaborate and add value through participation in peer reviews, provide comments and suggestions, and work with teams to achieve goals. Serve as the technical focal point with other teams to resolve issues.
8. Quality and SLAs - Contribute to meet various SLAs and KPIs as applicable for the organization - for example, Responsiveness, Resolution, Software Quality SLAs, etc.. Ensure that assigned tasks are completed on time and that delivery timelines are met in accordance with the organization’s quality targets.
9. Onboarding and Knowledge Sharing - Onboard new hires and train them on processes, share knowledge with team members, take an active role in technical mentoring within the team and elevate the team’s knowledge.
    

All you need is...

  Installation, upgrade, refresh, cloning of Amdocs OSS environments on Linux systems using Jenkins, Maven & Nexus framework as a part of Continues Integration
-        Production Cluster Environment creation, integration with internal and external interfaces, setup TLS security, Load Balancer configuration, Kafka Cloudera messaging, Elastic Search & RKE Kubernetes 
-      Setup Jenkins automation jobs for various day to day work using Linux shell scripting & ansible 
-        Monitoring and resolving day-to-day issues related to environments
-        App server (Tomcat & Weblogic ) & UNIX systems monitoring and health checks with ELK stack 
-        Deployment of build artifacts on middleware application servers (Tomcat & Weblogic) as well as PostgreSQL, Cassandra & oracle DB
-      PostgreSQL, Cassandra & Oracle database creation and maintenance including Oracle RAC understanding 
-      Installation and configuration documentation creation   
-        Initiate and contribute with new ideas in the DevOps line, familiarity with latest trends
-        Minimum 4 years extensive experience in Cluster environment installation and configuration on Linux platform with RKE Kubernetes Cluster

Technical Skills
-        Extensive knowledge of three tier application installation and configuration 
-      Working experience on Kafka Cloudera, Elastic search & JMS messaging configuration
-        Vast experience in Linux shell scripting & Ansible scripting automation 
-        Oracle database physical architecture knowledge, Maven build configuration understanding, Nexus repository working knowledge, Jenkins job configuration knowledge
-      Good working knowledge of Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes technologies
-      Continuous Integration and Continuous delivery pipe line creation experience 
-        High level of debugging skills with environment issues
-        Comprehensive knowledge on high availability environment implementations

Availability
-       Eventually regular day shift however requires support in shifts (@ odd hours) as per business need sometime
