Job Description Enterprise Cloud Architect (Cyber Security & Managed Services, Johannesburg) Position Summary: We are hiring for an Enterprise Architect within Wipro Digital & Cloud (WDC) covering the Africa region. Today’s business leaders want to achieve success through digital transformation. While the new opportunities to accelerate speed of business, new revenue streams and overall growth are exhilarating, often cloud security and compliance are an afterthought. This oversight has put organizations in a precarious position and has moved security from an IT-centric function to a risk management issue. This is becoming the single biggest barrier to cloud adoption, negating an organization’s ability to reach its business ambition and take a full stride forward. It is this challenge that drives Wipro FullStride Cloud Services to deliver a secure-by-design approach to our clients’ cloud journey. Our Cloud Security teams, comprising of cloud security experts and strategists, accelerate resilience during the cloud journey and provide guidance on how to mitigate threats responsibly. Responsibilities: As an Enterprise Architect, you will use your expertise to construct specific and detailed Enterprises that encompass process, technology, project and staffing plans. You will lead the design of low to medium revenue and medium complexity custom services Enterprises by: translating the client’s IT requirements into specific systems, applications and/or process designs for custom technical Enterprises; balancing the needs of sales and delivery to design a Enterprise that meets or exceeds the requirements of service delivery. Must to understand the requirements and put up quality proposals for Data Centre Transformation and Managed Services Must to put up technical write-ups on Solution Architecture for proposed technical solutions Ability to conclusively present and defend technical solutions through strong presentation skills and executive client management. Ability to communicate effectively at CIO and Chief Architect level Ability to handle multiple complex proposals, with tight deadlines concurrently Demonstrate ability to write and present effective materials, including presentations, status reporting, technical diagrams and flowcharts Ability to collaborate with a team working across geographically dispersed locations Ready for business travel at Customer and Wipro locations Collaborate with business leaders, stakeholders, and IT teams to understand strategic objectives and define technology roadmaps aligned with organizational goals. Design, develop, and implement enterprise-wide cloud architectures and solutions, incorporating industry best practices and emerging technologies. Provide expertise in cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and guide the selection, adoption, and integration of cloud services. Assess current infrastructure, applications, and systems to identify areas for improvement and develop migration plans to move legacy systems to the cloud. Define and enforce cloud security policies and procedures to ensure data protection, access control, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Evaluate and recommend cyber security measures, including vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, intrusion detection systems, and incident response plans. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for critical systems and applications. Lead efforts to optimize and streamline IT operations by implementing managed services, automation, and monitoring solutions. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and security threats, and provide thought leadership and recommendations for continuous improvement. Mentor and provide guidance to technical teams, promoting knowledge sharing and skills development. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven track record of successfully architecting and delivering customer-focused solutions, preferably in a pre-sales or consulting environment. Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect, with a focus on IaaS and PaaS solutions. Strong knowledge of cloud computing principles, infrastructure components, and service models Key Skills: - Anywhere between 10-16 Years of IT Infrastructure experience Have worked on Global Presales opportunities and should have experience on delivering RFP RFI responses Experience on putting up architecture writeups solution writeups for pointed requirements Experience on major Server, Storage, Backup and DR Technologies / Solutions – HPE, DellEMC, Hitachi, Cisco, CommVault, Veritas etc Experience on Virtualization Technologies – VMware, RHEV, Hyper-V. Understand the stated customer requirements (in RFPs / RFIs) etc and suggest solution options Experience on putting up architecture write-ups / solution write-ups for pointed requirements Experience in delivering / solutioning Infrastructure Managed services requirements Experience on large scale DC Migration & Consolidation opportunities Experience on any of the Cloud Computing Solutions – AWS, Azure, Google Knowledge on NextGen technologies – Containers, DevOps, SAP HANA, Edge Computing, IoT Have exposure of working on Global opportunities. Any experience / exposure on Hyper-Converged Infrastructure technologies – Nutanix, Cohesity, VxRAIL etc. Proven experience (at least 12+ years) as an Enterprise Architect, with a focus on cloud technologies, cyber security, and managed services. In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and hands-on experience in designing and deploying cloud-based solutions. Strong understanding of cyber security principles and best practices, including network security, application security, data protection, and identity and access management. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to data privacy and security (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001). Experience in designing and implementing managed services, including IT service management, service level agreements (SLAs), and vendor management. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and influence decision-making processes. Relevant certifications, such as TOGAF, CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect, are highly desirable.
