Boeing India Engineering and Technology Centre is currently looking for two Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join their Manufacturing Engineering team in Chennai, India. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be part of a global team working on providing ME solutions to a wide range of Boeing products and services across the world. These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) business organization. 

A successful candidate will implement the preparation of installation plans, author assembly work instructions and drive process standardization for electrical wire harness products. The role would focus on working closely with global teams to ensure the assembly work instructions are defined most efficiently thereby ensuring the best value for our customers. This position also offers opportunities to be part of integrated project teams on the manufacturability and producibility of wiring design definitions. Be a part of our passionate and motivated team that always keep an eye to identify potential opportunities to improve and standardize the assembly process for our diverse range of products.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Experience and knowledge of manufacturing, methods, fabrication processes (e.g., forming, stamping, machining, heat treatment, machines/machine tools, cutting tools and fluids, instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems)
  • Knowledge of surface finishes, coatings, paints, sealants, bonding and grounding.
  • Author build plan for Aircraft Structural assemblies, Systems and Payloads.
  • Creates work instructions for installing components, systems and other assemblies.
  • Create Installation plan in CAPP/MES and Author work instructions.
  • Lead the implementation of  Standard works in assembly operations for Boeing products
  • Ensure the prevailing Installation plans are audited and meet the defined standards.
  • Continuously review the existing assembly process and drive process improvements
  • Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving
  • Assist in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.
  • Supports the development, identification and implementation of conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.
  • Execute DFM and producibility studies for new product introductions.
  • Participates in the implementation of manufacturing plans. Investigates technical problems.
  • Participates in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance to company quality management system requirements.
  • Interfaces with IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Technical Bachelor's degree or Master degree
  • 6 to 8 year of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • 5+ year of related work experience in aerospace industry. Experience with Commercial aircraft platforms is desirable.
  • Experience with Aerospace Manufacturing, Fabrication, Assembly Processes and Technologies.
  • Experience with creation of manufacturing planning and authoring assembly work instructions.
  • General Drawing Interpretation & GD&T knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Aerospace Materials and Processes.
  • Aware of manufacturing execution systems like CAPP/MES, IPDM.
  • Working knowledge with CATIA/NX Modelling software’s.
  • Experience with Boeing products/Commercial aircraft platforms is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 to 9 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+ 5 years' related work experience).

Find your future with us. Boeing Test and Evaluation team is currently looking for one Software Engineer to join their team in Bengaluru, KA. Test & Evaluation engineers at Boeing make sure that products at the world’s largest aerospace company continue to meet the highest standards. From quality and reliability, to safety and performance, their expertise is vital to the concept, design and certifications of a wide variety of commercial and military systems. Position Responsibilities: This is a software development role. Your duties will include (but are not limited to): Develop, test, debug, and document application software Developing and implementing software solutions to meet real-time test requirements. Writing and executing test procedures. Develop training materials for Enterprise-wide sharing. Accuracy and accountability are key. You will be expected to: Develop software verification plans, test procedures, and test environments. You will work under general direction as part of an agile development team. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor, Master or equivalent degree preferably in Computer Science or Engineering 4+ year of Full Stack experience in .Net with strong software development, optimization and problem-solving skills Proficiency in JavaScript. Experience with MVVM architecture (Angular preferred, ReactJS) Experience using Windows/Linux operating system for software development Strong written and oral interpersonal skills for creating and improving technical documents, and to effectively engage globally distributed engineering team. Excellent working knowledge of the entire software development lifecycle   Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Proficiency in basic understanding of networking concepts. Proficiency in any Language, and object-oriented programming. Excellent working knowledge of the entire software development lifecycle Familiar with the software development and system integration including Agile concepts. Familiar with Full stack development Visual Studio (C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net), SQL, Oracle, Web Services, REST API, scripting languages, GO, Git/SVN, SQL databases, query language, Docker, Web Applications, MVVM architecture (ReactJS, Angular) and automated test applications. Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Nexus Familiar with Ethernet networks. Proficient with the MS Office suite of tools and should also demonstrate effective written and verbal English communication skills. Experience with pair-programming, test-driven development, continuous integration, and other XP engineering practices.   Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience.
