About this role:

The Customer Remediation Analytics team is looking for a new leader, this team plays a critical role in performing analytics activities for customer remediation population identification, remediation execution and exploratory analytics as well as testing of these analytic solutions.

 

This role is fundamental to driving customer remediation plans built on standardized and repeatable solutions which favor our customers and improve accuracy, efficiency, and speed. The Customer Remediation Analytics Support organization is responsible for building and testing these solutions, as well as partnering directly with the Customer Remediation Analytics teams in helping them identify and assess appropriate data sources and analytic solutions on our highest risk efforts. This role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement.


In this role, you will:

  • As part of a team focused on the preserving the customer experience across the organization, this Analytic Manager will be responsible for overseeing analytics teams responsible for:
  • Managing testing resources, timelines, priorities, and controlling the analytic testing process.
  • Ensuring a high level of data accuracy for work completed by your analytic consultants
  • The testing of highly complex analytic solutions under development or within the active inventory
  • Providing expert process improvement advice to reduce defects
  • Make recommendations on risks associated with implementing new analytic solutions to ensure the risk is accurately quantified and addressed.
  • Design analytics testing project documentation that is structured for consistency, easy to understand, and to be offered to multiple levels of reviewers, partners, and regulatory agents demonstrating research and analysis completed
  • Investigate and ensure data integrity from multiple sources
  • Employ creative and innovative thinking in establishing solutions to operational and data problems or inefficiencies. Identify appropriate design and technology strategies to address problems and create new capabilities, using existing technology solutions where possible.
  • Design and implement efficient and repeatable solutions that fit within a defined and well-governed framework. Participate in determining performance metrics for the solution.
  • Challenge assumptions within analytic solutions: translation of business language to technical requirements, calculations, data usage, output storage and delivery
  • Exploring and profiling data to identify outliers or bad data
  • Developing in-depth knowledge and expertise regarding the Lines of Business you support
  • Maintaining necessary processes, controls and procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Ensuring adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies
  • The ideal candidate should possess a natural analytic curiosity and be able to think outside the box to challenge assumptions with a line of sight to ensuring high quality analysis and execution results.

Management responsibilities will also include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks and completing daily management tasks.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Around 12+ years in similar analytics role
  • M.A./M.Sc. College Degree or Higher in applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis.
  • 9+ years advanced programming exposure in SAS or Python including SQL
  • 9+ years of consumer, retail banking experience
  • 9+ years of experience with relational databases Teradata, Oracle or similar database
  • 3+ years of good team handling experience of managing people and projects
  • Able to guide, mentor and provide technical assistance to the team
  • Strong experience of data integration, database structures and data warehouses
  • Identifies and recommends internal and external data sources, compiles/mines data from multiple, cross business sources; recommends and consults in the development of complex analysis designs
  • Ensures adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies. Data involved may be very large, structured or unstructured, and from multiple sources.
  • Persuasive written and verbal communication skills
