Job Description Position Summary with Job Responsibilities Role / Position title Senior Manager - Safety and ADAS Controllers Grade: L5 BU CV Engineering VIG/CoC E&E Role Reports to (Designation - Role of reporting manager) & level ECU Module Lead /Deputy General Manager L4 BHR Archana Saraf Location Pune Position Summary: Brief Role Description ECU Senior Manager is responsible for development of Safety and ADAS ECUs from early concept to complete system design for production programs. He/She will work closely with the E&E integration, vehicle teams, CoCs, suppliers, production, and service to ensure vehicle feature and functional requirements are met. Job Description Job roles & responsibilities: (1) Design of various ECUs for use in chassis, powertrain, steering, suspension systems, safety and ADAS systems (2) Specify (RFQ), influence, verify and validate components to meet all higher-level system and safety requirements, environmental standards (thermal, ingress and vibration etc.), EMC regulations and legal requirements etc. (3) Identify and resolve application problems at component and vehicle level (4) Elicit and manage hardware requirements and provide support to FuSa (e.g. diagnostic coverage and safety case generation), systems, software/ modelling teams. (5) Identify current best practice and emerging technological advances and include it in the design (6) Generate / participate in FMEA generation (7) Closely support prototype and production build phases to ensure electrical issues are identified and resolved promptly. Essential & Desirable Education/Qualifications/ Work experience/technical skills i.e. what are the -must haves- for this role: Education Graduate (BE) / Post graduate (ME) in Electrical / Electronic Engineering Years of Experience 1 to 5 Preferred Industry: Automotive - OEs Skill Sets required to perform the role : TECHNICAL Embedded Software Development ECU hardware development and software development Experience in the ISO26262 lifecycle through concept, system, hardware and software design OR Similar experience in aerospace, defense, power/nuclear sectors etc. Knowledge of CAN, LIN, UDS and J1939 protocol. Experience in an automotive E&E environment. Familiarity with EMS ECU, ABS ECU, EPAS ECU, Transmission ECUs, ADAS Controllers, Sensors and Systems FMEA Behavioral Self-motivated and resilient Flexible and adaptable Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines and agreed timescales Excellent communication skills, clear and concise written and verbal skills Logical approach to problem solving Role model to more junior engineers.
