Job Description

As a Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the success of Oracle Database Cloud services with ISV and SI partners.  You will perform both product management and development tasks.  Responsibilities include presenting Oracle Database Cloud solutions, both business and technical, delivering workshops, supporting sales opportunities, building solutions for demos and POCs. POCs will often require coding.  You will work collaboratively with Oracle sales and sales consulting on partner programs, and drive the adoption of Oracle Database Cloud services. You will manage partner meetings and develop relationships to ensure high value solutions are built on Oracle Database Cloud.  Additional responsibilities include identifying partner needs, managing project activities, developing plans with partners.

In-depth knowledge of programming and connectivity to databases is vital to the success of this role. Ability to write clear, succinct technical documents and communicate effectively to key stakeholders across Oracle sales consulting and partners is expected of this role. The ability to understand the competitive landscape and translate Oracle’s advantages into compelling messages is also important. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop close, credible relationships with Oracle sales consultants and ISV and SI partners
  • Technical training and enablement of Oracle sales consultants and ISV and SI partners
  • Evangelize Oracle Database and Cloud solutions to ISV and SI partners
  • Ensure retention of ISV partnerships by combating competitive threats
  • Drive ISV and SI adoption of Oracle Database Cloud solutions
  • Maximize ISV and SI commitment to Oracle with cadence meetings
  • Consult with ISV partners to understand current and future technology, product, and service needs, and proactively communicate that information to the Oracle Product Management Team
  • Support Oracle sales initiatives and programs to drive revenue on Oracle Cloud
  • Develop technical workshops for enablement
  • Engage in and work on partner and customer POCs 

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates have significant experience in full stack development using web application servers together with the database.  Analyze, design, and develop solutions for partner and customer POCs.  Be able to write code, and perform testing and debugging of applications in the following:

•        Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL development

•        Database administration

•        Java, JDBC, Python

•        JavaScript/HTML/ReactJS 

•        Restful Web services, XML

•        Docker, Kubernetes

•        Terraform

•        Should be able to work on Microsoft Technologies 


You must be a self-starter, and fast self-learner.  Duties and tasks can be varied and complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills, and often requiring independent judgment.  You may have project lead role and supervise projects. As you will work in a remote location, you must be able to communicate well, and work with Oracle development teams across time zones.  You will be a leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.

 

BS or MS degree or equivalent experience in software development. 

5+ years of software engineering, and database technologies.
