Job description Job Summary: The successful candidate will oversee & direct all manufacturing activities, achieving effective and efficient use of personnel, equipment, and facilities while assuring conformance to delivery schedules, quality goals, and budgets.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee all assembly and test flow processes within manufacturing that lead to the completion of high performance products, and report results on a regular basis.  Plan, develop, and implement activities within the department to meet quality and cost objectives. Facilitate the timely completion on all orders, prepare progress reports, and eliminate difficulties or delays that hinder success. Work with piers to develop schedules, plan out production activities, and fulfill material requirements towards completing builds in a timely, cost-effective manner while meeting or exceeding delivery requirements.  Coordinate with our Engineering and Materials groups to ensure the throughput and quality optimization of products. Work with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies, remove or mitigate roadblocks, resolve issues of non-compliance, and facilitate communications among all business groups.  Work with senior management to set and maintain budgets (headcount, expense, and capital), and assist in resource planning to achieve business objectives. Assist in the establishment of improved strategies to develop and launch new products. Propose, review, and take ownership of changes to existing processes in order to maximize efficiency while shortening timelines.  Utilize process, quality, and throughput improvement methodologies in directing the development, implementation, and maintenance of processes for both new and existing products and technologies.  This includes compliance with safety, state, and federal regulations. Assist in the implementation of policies and procedures, formulate manufacturing operational strategies, and oversee the mentoring and training of manufacturing employees to help drive successful business results. Responsible for the performance of direct reports.  Oversee the Assembly, Test, and kitting groups; including process/yield improvements efforts, utilization, and data review.  Develop & maintain a highly disciplined team committed to producing high performance products, accountable for the quality of their work, their communications with fellow stakeholders, and responsiveness in resolving issues that may threaten revenue, quality, material, or cost target obtainment.  Working with HR, manage and resolve personnel issues that may arise. The successful candidate may also facilitate other efforts relating to materials, shipping, customer support services, process documentation, or other duties as assigned by supervisor.   Some travel, less than 10%.   Minimum Job Requirements:  Four-year college degree, or equivalent, in a technical field and/or business administration plus eight years related experience including three years management experience in an electromechanical manufacturing environment. Must be a US Citizen, eligible for Secret security clearance.  Familiarity with personal computer software.  Mentally capable of performing responsibilities under high levels of stress.  Ability to set priorities and handle multiple assignments.

Job description  Position Summary: The successful candidate will perform engineering and related technical assignments utilizing best manufacturing engineering practices and principles.  Constructs, advances, and implements methods for products and processes involving advanced systems that support organizational quality, cost, volume, and new product release objectives.       Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Support the assembly & testing of products in manufacturing and determine the best tooling, equipment, and other manufacturing aids necessary to meet objectives. Analyze requirements and system design documentation in order to assist in the development of efficient, repeatable manufacturing processes. Actively participate in the new product introduction process, providing input on manufacturing related processing issues in order to meet or exceed quality, cost, throughput, and manufacturability goals. Participate in BOM development and modification with Engineering and Configuration teams. Develop layouts, workstations, and process flows necessary to produce products in a high quality, cost effective manner while meeting demand requirements. Create, implement, modify, and monitor manufacturing procedures that accurately reflect approved methods, and assist in writing standard operating procedures as needed to meet required guidelines.  Assist in the training of manufacturing employees in the effective methods and processes to produce products. Identify bottlenecks and make recommendation for their removal. Identify opportunities to improve quality issues and reduce manufacturing costs. Develop alternative methods toward improving production efficiencies and effectiveness. Take an active role in providing cost analysis of various alternatives to issues or process improvements, and help manage the implementation of improvement efforts. Actively participate in the creation, implementation, and monitoring of statistical process control techniques, including control chart development and the identification of required support tools or equipment. During slower times, the successful candidate will support environmental test or other systems test activities.  Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Interfaces with Design Engineering to provide EMC analysis and direction for all Cubic Defense programs. Assists Design Engineering on selection of Shielding, Bonding, Filtering and Bandwidth & Amplitude Limiting devices and materials Reviews designs to provide insights and solutions to EMC related design, packaging, and implementation issues Interfaces with customer and/or regulatory representatives during program meetings and formal qualification tests Performs all duties related to maintaining the presence of an EMC lab, including scheduling, selection of test equipment, maintenance of the facility, building of test jigs, selection of outside specialty calibration sources and creation of documentation.
